These Dungeon Journals are absolutely insane! As a big TTRPG player and forever DM, I decided I needed one after stumbling across an ad for them a few weeks ago. I ended up deliberating over my exact design, color scheme, and customizations for a very long time before finally landing on the perfect design. After placing my order, I realized I'd messed up and accidentally requested the wrong color for one of my foils, but fortunately a quick email to customer service cleared the issue up quickly (the customer service representative was very helpful and speedy in their response, and was able to put a note on my order to make sure they did my journal in the right colors).
Today I finally got my Dungeon Journal, and it's so much nicer in person than it looked online! The leather feels amazing (the soft leather for the interior makes it feel so cozy and nice to write in, while the sturdier leather on the outside looks amazing), the wood spine has so much character, and the magnets and clasps are strong and hold everything together very well. I love how secure and roomy the spine storage is. I have a full dice set +my favorite standalone D20 and a spare pen in there, and I still have room for another couple of dice or a mini! On the interior of the journal, the magnetic pen strip is perfect for holding in my spare notes, and the very solid covers provide an excellent surface to write against.
I am also very happy with the accessories that I got. The ruler is very nice and hefty, the dice tray is beautiful and has a good, sturdy bottom that works really well for dice rolls, and the magnetic pen holder is honestly one of my favorite parts of this settup. If you're planning on getting this journal, the pen holder is an absolute must, both for storing your extra pen, and for holding miscellaneous spare notes in your journal.
All in all, I am very happy with Elderwood Academy, and I would strongly recommend their products for anyone who wants to treat themselves or a friend to a fancy...

For other potential purchasers- these are not faults, just detailed information that is pretty niche:
Note that the "card" foam insert will not accomodate cards sleeved in normal sleeves (perfect fits are fine, but not full size sleeves). The card section can accomodate about 70 naked MtG cards. The dice spots fit normal size dice almost exclusively, that's what they're made for after all. You can put the slightly larger spindowns in them, but they stretch the foam and don't quite fit perfectly. Still, if you wanted to use it that way you can fit a couple or use the figure storage compartments instead. If the insert is removed, the Spellbook could accomodate a 100 card single sleeved deck, but will not fit a double sleeved deck. Also, the "reflecting pool" is reflective with a smoky tint to it, so not a mirror-like surface, but more of a tinted mirror, my guess is to provide a dry erase surface that suppresses glare...
Read moreMalicious business practises. That is the only word one can use after hearing from various rival businesses that Elderwood has used fraud by issueing false DCMA takedown notices and is now in the proces of committing a second fraud by registering a malicious generic patent on a basic shape, trying to patent a honeycomb shape, of their 'hex box' which is a product Elderwood copied from rivals in the first place, with the intent of abusing this false patent to shut down rival businesses.
Elderwood thus proves to be a malicious and unethical company, that cannot provide you with quality, seeing as they feel the need to abuse law to deter competitors.
In addition to Elderwood's actions being likely criminal in nature, you as the consumer are not safe with them. People engaged in practises that opposed to ethical business conduct, do not have your best interest in mind and do not deserve you spending your money on...
