I would have left a better review for the speedy making of mine and my mothers meal (even with the amount of alterations to our items) and the quality of food (which seemed fresh and was rather delicious) if it were not for the series of events between ordering and eating our food. We had ordered our food on 3/20/18 at 5:02:15 PM just before a larger group was walking in.our cashier Joel was very patient with us when taking our rather picky order with a couple corrections. My mother had ordered a "Beef Taco Salad" no cheese, no sour cream, add onion and no meat add black beans (Sb frm Bf to Bl Bn). The receipt shows that everything was rang in properly, but when we received our food and sat down there were no black beans on the salad. This wasn't the issue. When asking for a simple side of black beans to replace the missing addition to the salad, my mother was complete ignored by what I would assume to be the manager due to the difference in attire and after watching her stand there while 7 other people were served before she got her beans I asked if we could put a rush on the beans. The cashier then turned to the assumed manager and all I heard was a rather aggressive tone reply " No" then proceed to explain what my mother ordered. So I returned to the table to get the receipt and returned to an aggrivated "manager" grudgingly hand over the beans before I showed him that he had made a simple mistake.
This is not acceptable behavior for management. I get it that this is a fast food chain and I shouldn't get "this upset about somthing so trivial" but in no establishment should management ever have such an attitude towards an employee (even tho she did her job appropriately) or to / in earshot of a customer.
Never coming back. Enjoy your one...
Read moreThis place used to get you through pretty quickly. Over the past year, it has grown slower and slower to get the line moving. Cars are always parked illegally out on the main road with their blinkers on trying to get in, as well as people trying to get in on the turn lane. They don't seem to do a single thing to speed up their process. I called to ask if there was a line out to the road like there was the last few nights. I let them know I had a job to get back to, and they said they didn't see anyone. As soon as I got there, all I was able to do was turn into the parking lot before waiting 40 mins. So instead of them telling me that they were short staffed and busy, they told me they couldn't see anybody and to come on up? I called back, and the girl that was working tonight (Thursday, December 8th, around 11:30 p.m.) then let me know that they were short staffed after the fact? Not only that, I couldn't even leave if I wanted to because of how tight the turn is to get around everyone. So what was supposed to be a 15-20 minute wait turned into 40-45 minutes and me out money on my check. THEN I get to the window, and behold, 2 big shelves holding all of the orders of the people ordering online that are coming to pick up their food. So the place is NOT short staffed like they claimed. They just take care of everyone's online orders first before taking care of the people waiting in line at the actual restaurant. Complete bull. An accident will happen out on Washtenaw sooner or later if it hasn't already, by the way. GYST, Taco Bell. Shouldn't be that hard to use common sense and cut off the online orders that are creating all of this chaos. Won't be coming back...
Read moreOn 04/27/24 around 2:00 or 3:00 we ordered our food online. We went to go through the drive thru, but it was so backed up that we ended up parking and I went in. When I went in I found out that there was only 2 people working (a gentleman about 60 running the window and a young gentleman cooking/prepping food). You could tell that they had WAY more to deal with than 2 people could handle and the work area was messy and in disarray as a result (I think it would have been for anyone in those circumstances). They didn't have time to come to the front counter (which I understand). After 10 minutes of waiting at the counter another employee showed up (Mike, I think they called him). He clocked in and went to work locking the doors, which I understood so that there would only be one line to contend with. So, I went back out to the car and got in line. In total, we waited almost an hour for the food. We thought about leaving, but we'd already paid the $40 for the food. I don't know all of the circumstances, but it does seem that scheduling was an issue. If people didn't show up and even after Mike came in to try and save the day and it wasn't enough, that management should step in and step up. I truly mean this as wanting to share suggestions and if you'd like to reach out, I would be happy to connect,...
