Cottage Inn Pizza Ypsilanti Washtenaw — Restaurant in Ypsilanti Charter Township

I’ve been going to this place for years. Every place has its ups and downs and Cottage In Pizza is good pizza. I have to give it up, which is a shame.

I stopped going here for a while because it was just really bad either I go to the counter, and I am ignored or the food is not edible.

One time I went in there, and I was waiting a really long time and I see everybody walking around and working and they look up at me, but they looked down. They do not acknowledge me at the counter.

One time I just called while I was waiting at the counter and a young man picked up the phone and I said look around the corner and he looked around the corner. I said you’re talking to me. I’ve been waiting here trying to pick up my order, would you please help me with my order.

He seemed confused and didn’t know what to do. Very strange situations.

We have a new owner again and I went in today. I thought I would try it again because It’s close to the house. The food is usually good. It’s only one time it wasn’t edible.

It was unbelievable it was unforgettable. I called Corporate to complain, but I’ve heard nothing back from the owner.

They were playing loud music with a lot of cussing, and I mean a lot of cussing. I think we can all agree money doesn’t come easy and especially for going to order fast food that’s an extra amount of money that we really really can’t afford but it’s convenient and you want to support our local stores.

So again, as usual, they see me it was a female, and does not acknowledge me. This is one thing that has not changed probably never will.

So I start copying the music and I start cussing and screaming. Just copying the words on the music and the female turns around looks at me and she smiles and she starts dancing. Yeah yeah dancing she’s feeling no pain that day.

Eventually, she comes to the counter, and I said we have a world of children. We have a world of people who don’t want to hear this music and this music is seriously pissing me off and would you please turn it off

And she looked at me feeling no pain and said yeah I can turn it off but you need to get out of here you have to leave I said OK I’ll leave

Somebody turned off the music while she was talking to me. I don’t know who it was there was somebody else in that building but I don’t know where they were and if there’s a manager that’s interesting where are they and what’s happening

I’m not walking into someone’s house. I’m walking into a business paying for a service and all I get is music with a lot of cussing and a girl who’s feeling no pain and she’s feeling damn good.

She probably won’t even remember the whole situation now it’s sealed. I will never come into that store again.

I don’t know what people are thinking. I don’t know what’s going on. There’s a lot of people out there and everybody needs to work but if you’re flying that high and you’re cooking food it’s not really a good idea because judgment isn’t good relaxed atmosphere God knows what’s in the food God knows what’s going behind the counter because we can’t see anybody.

I guess I have to say nobody knows what is going on in this place not...

Never under any circumstance will I ever walk into this place again. At long last I understand now why there are always very few if any cars in their parking lot. I moved here three weeks ago. I wanted to check it out. I have not had a chance until today. I did not arrive until 8:45 and I knew they had a buffet and I kind of assumed it would be over with by 2:00 like most places. They had very little left and I understood that I had no problem with that. What I had a problem with was how damn rude they were to my face. Some man came up to me and he was unbelievably frustrated the fact that he saw he had another customer and I simply said are you done with the buffet and he said I may be putting out some more and I said what kind because what was on the buffet presently had onions and I cannot eat onions. He just turned and walked away shaking his head because he had to walk to the oven to see what it was he was going to put out . He screamed from the oven in the kitchen while the ingredients were. He came back to the counter and asked if I wanted it and I said I can't eat onions maybe I'll come some other time or by chance are you still putting out other pizzas. At this point another employee walked by and the man who was already frustrated said he might but then the other employee made some kind of gesture and then the man just shook his head and said well I guess not he's in charge. The animosity in this place was served more than any damn pizza. I am so angry. Not for me but for this entire community. I have loved living here so far there are charming beautiful people and the citizens here deserve better. I hope the parking lot remains empty and that people go further down the road to hospitalities where you will...

DISAPPOINTMENT ! Since when has Cottage Inn started putting cheap ingredients in their pizza crust gaslighting consumers into believing they are eating gourmet pizza? Someone please tell me because that is exactly what has happened. I have been traveling around MI and have just returned so I decided to buy lunch at my local store on Washtenaw Ave. I have ordered from this store numerous times so I believed that it would be a win. I ordered two pizzas and a 2 liter @ almost 39.00 that was a stretch but everyone knows that Cottage Inn is one of the most expensive pizza shops around, but I knew that going in and I wanted great pizza today a special lunch for my family. Let me tell you when I picked up my first slice and the cheese didn’t stretch all over with its ooey gooey deliciousness I knew there was a problem. When I took the first bite , the crust was worse than cardboard pizza in the frozen section at Kroger or Walmart. Not only was the cheese and sauce non existent the crust was so bad, it was thin and it tore and you had to shear.and pull at it with your teeth as if it was stale 2 day old pizza left out on the table by a college kid or a bachelor that doesn’t give a damn. Why has the pizza quality decreased and the price has not gone down to reflect the poor quality? I would have called the store to complain but the guy behind the counter , it’s not his fault and he was nice. and I gave one star to him . The other star I gave because the pop was cold. I will NOT order from Cottage Inn again it is too expensive and the quality is sub par. It is hard enough in this economy these days. Go to Little Cesars or Pizza Hut . The Quality is better and the price is reasonable. I was there on 4/9/24...
