Los Portales Market & Taqueria — Restaurant in Yuba City

This review is long overdue but we had such a positive experience I felt it important to share it with the world.

My boyfriend and I stopped by to buy some carnitas for our family Christmas Eve dinner. The owner, Juan, welcomed us and gave us a tour to show us all the wonderful things that are made on-site at his market. Juan was so friendly and enthusiastic about his business and his hands on approach led us to order the whole feast: carnitas, buche, queso fresco, salsa, corn tortillas, chicharrones, rice and beans. What a fiesta! The food was very delicious and made our dinner a hit with the whole family. We had Los Portales cater for 200 people. Communication and planning for the event with them was very smooth and easy. They set up before our quest showed up. They verified with us before they started serving. They cleaned everything up after they were done serving. Plenty of food we had several people go back for seconds. My husband and I ate here for the first time today. It will be our go to Mexican Restaurant from now on. The food was absolutely delicious and service was top notch. Juan took our order and the cooks prepared it exactly as we ordered it. Everything was fresh and hot. We will definitely be eating here again. We highly recommend others try this place.
