final update: this restaurant is very inconsistent. they have periods of good service and mostly periods of bad service and I'm tired of it. they never get my order right anymore. you cannot trust the drive-thru at all. at all! so I go inside now to place an order and they screw that up too right in front of me. I'm not going back in here again. That's it, I'm tired of the hassle. quantity over quality.
Update 3 years later: This Panda has dramatically improved in every respect so I have updated my review to reflect their improvements. I took a chance eating here again after another 2 years and was surprised at how good the food was and how they get my order right at the drive-thru without drama. since giving it a try again, I have returned many times in the last few months and I'm happy to say that it is excellent. I'm leaving my prior reviews here just to show how difficult it has been and how much they have improved which is a good thing.
Update: 1 year later: This is the worst Panda I have ever had and I've been to many of them around the country. I went back today for the first time in a year and regret it. The food is terrible. they get a ton of business and all I can think is Yuba City residents are not discerning. Seriously this food is bad! The chow mein is not completely cooked so it's like half done ramen that doesn't even stir on your fork. The chicken has no flavor at all. The rice tastes like it was double fried. I absolutely will never go back to this restaurant again.
(Original) Very poorly designed parking lot and drive thru with cross congestion, a pedestrian cross walk cutting across the drive, straight spots rather than angled, a horrible 90 degree angle in the drive thru that's dangerous for vehicle (and forget it if you have a big truck). It's hard to get in here, period. Barrier to entry = lost sales. I will have to think about whether I want to put up with these problems vs going to the Marysville location.
I got home and sat down to eat. Ordered a bowl with steamed rice, teriyaki chicken. The chicken meat is old, gamey, not fresh or tender, have to bite hard. This restaurant needs to work out issues after opening. I will return in a month after they've gotten their processes sorted out.    Read moreGave us the wrong order in the drive through. When we called to get it fixed they asked us to bring the receipt, which I did. They took the and kept receipt, and gave me the âcorrectâ order. We got home and one of the items was wrong. At this point it had been an hour since we first ordered and we wanted to eat, so we called them and asked if they could please refund the wrong plate since we were just going to eat. They said they couldnât refund it, but theyâd write down my name and I could have a free large item on them next time I came in.
When I came in today for my free item they had no name written down, and were very rude about me asking. The supervisor kept interrupting me to tell me without my receipt (which they kept), they couldnât help me. When I finally asked her to stop interrupting me and listen to what I was saying, she told me I needed to calm down. At that point I said I wasnât interested in the item any longer and I asked for her managers info, which she refused to give me, just saying, âI donât know when heâll be in. You can try calling.â so I decided to leave.
As I was leaving, the cook in the back threatened me and said I was lucky he wasnât working the front. When I asked for his name she told me if I didnât leave sheâd call the cops, and that I wasnât allowed there anymore. No joke. I never cursed or raised my voice one time.

   Read moreI like Panda Express food, always have and I have tried to like THIS Panda Express, but EVERY TIME I have been there either through the drive thru or to dine in I canât get what I want because they are out of one thing or another at that moment. I have tried going and ordering what I could and waiting for the missing thing to be ready, only for everything else to be cold and soggy by the time they get it all together. Yesterday I walked in and watched as they scooped the last of the Angus beef I knew I was going to be waiting, so I asked them to just wait till they had everything to make the plateâŚâŚ huge mistake. ( by the way, there was no one in line in front of me and only 3 cars in the drive thru) They set my plates aside and promptly forgot about them as I watched seeing that at no time did they have everything (3 items) that I ordered hot and ready all at once. 20 minutes later I walked up to the cashier and asked for a refund, this took an additional 15 minutes as I watched the lady who took my receipt go all around the kitchen doing different chores only to come back and tell me she had to email someone to be able to refund my money. Itâs now almost 24 hours later, not refunded my money. These people are simply not up to the task of running a fast food restaurant....
