I recently moved to the area, have never been to a Sonic and decided to visit your Yuba City location. 11/2/15 I was in drive thru and had questions about the menu, combos, specials etc. I wanted the chili cheese tots but saw there was a special with a hot dog for a little bit more money. I asked the male who was taking my order about it, the next thing i know he gave me a total and said drive up to the window he will answer the questions there. When i get to the window there is a female who tells me the total which was way too high for the tots. I questioned her about it and she said i was getting a pretzel dog with tots and a drink combo. I told her i didnt order that, I dont even drink soda. she became irritated and shut the window. she came back and gave me a different total which was still too high for tots, i questioned it again and she said "look i just thru out the soda you didnt want now it?" I told her I was simply asking about the combo, she walked away then came back with a total of around 3.50. I gave her my card, she gave me a bag with the chili cheese tots, then she gave me back my card and receipt. I tried again to explain i was sorry for any confusion that i had never been to a Sonic and just wanted to know about the specials. She smiled and said sarcastically, you have a great day now ma'am and shut the window. I drove away because i had been holding up the line and felt horrible. when i returned to work and opened the bag to eat my tots i found the receipt and that i had been charged for the combo. I tried to call the Sonic and resolve the issue but could never get a response from the store manager. The amount is very minimal that i am owed and i have put too much negative energy into this situation already, not to mention the fact that i wouldnt eat the tots because i felt if they had the nerve to charge me incorrectly and be sarcastic to me, what did they do to the food? I find the whole situation horrible! I simply wanted to try the tots and ask a couple of simple menu questions, not be charged for food i didnt want or receive and be disrespected by your employees. I am asking that you immediately refund or give me a credit for the entire amount i was charged which is $7.66 i did receive the tots but wouldnt eat them because of the whole situation i was uncomfortable with the thought of eating them. Im sure that if you question the employees they will chucle about the whole situation and then lie to you, but i am hoping that you can simply give me back my money and i will forget about all of this and maybe someday try the food there again. Please contact me and i will give you my address or card info whichever you prefer to use for the credit, i am also putting the info from the receipt below so you can review it. Read moreWe stopped at sonic before heading home (45 mins away) got 40 dollars worth of food. My husband gave them his card to swipe. The manager brought it out after waiting saying it was declined, And she swiped it 4 timestamps. Which locked the card. My husband checked his online banking in front of the manager and showed her the payment went through on his end, though she said it didnt on hers and showed her we had way beyond ( by hundreds) what the bill was.so We paid cash . She said to call back in 24 hours if it didnt go through and they would refund the money no problem. 24 hours later charge is still there. I call and she tells me it never went through at sonic and we would have to Bring back the bank statement for the refund to the card. After telling us yesterday calling would be no problem, just call she will remember what were talking about. She specifically said she understood we didnt live in the area and a simple phone call would work. No apologies no nothing bring in the statement or were out 40 dollars. Read moreIts been a year but decided to do this, if u ever get an interview here make sure u know the weather cause its outside, i waited a long time for it in the cold and had workers walk past me while i waited. Manager took forever to come out saying they were busy…i was there and only a fee cars came by, if thats busy to them then idk what is lol But ya while filling the paper out my hands were numb from the cold, never got a proper apology, the manger pointed that another manager was in a certain direction just to see no one there.. Overall a horrble experience and me suffering just to not even get the job anyway. I just wanted to write this review cause even tho its been a while it makes my blood boil at how disrespectful and unprofessional this was. From strait up lying and making pety excuses. Waited an hour for them to talk to me (and yes i recorded and kept track cause even i was shocked). And they kept forgetting i was there.
