We never made it back after our 2019 visits. After finding Abby's Café in Hemet in 2018 and providing an extensive review, our last visit was February 2020 before the COVID-19 global pandemic had us social-distancing and staying home. Then an August 2020 newspaper article cited failures to follow COVID-19 county guidelines, and on November 2, 2020 the day before Election Day, Abby's Instagram account opined COVID as something politicians used "as an excuse to grab power." Once Abby's took an obvious political stance regarding COVID I could no longer speak of the quality of their food nor the safety of their employees and clients. Abby's would no longer suit our needs anyway because they do not offer outdoor dining 😷

New to the area and saw this place has 4 and a half stars, so we decided to give it a try. This place has a mask policy and they seat everyone a table apart. We got there around 12 and got seated right away. This place specializes in breakfast so they have alot of selections. We ordered a chorizo scramble with a pancake and the ranchero omelette with a pancake. Everything was delicious, fresh and flavorful! Nothing was oily or heavy. Their pancakes are awesome. I would definitely go back and try more of their menu.

Update: been here many times. Always a great place to spend time with my kids. Food is consistently good, and the feel is classic. Both breakfast and lunch menus are good. Staff remains very friendly. Been there twice so far, and will definitely make this a regular stop. Fair prices, good portions, good food, and friendly staff.

5/5 Stars

"I'm so glad I stumbled upon Abby's Cafe! The service was top-notch - friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Our server made us feel like family, taking the time to chat and ensure everything was to our liking.

But the real stars of the show were the food and coffee! I ordered The country fried steak and it was love at first bite . And the coffee? Absolutely divine! Rich, smooth, and full of depth. I'm a coffee snob, and Abby's Cafe truly delivered.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a charming decor that made us feel right at home. It's clear that Abby's Cafe is a labor of love, and we can't wait to come back for more.

If you're looking for a welcoming spot with exceptional food, coffee, and service, look no further than Abby's Cafe. We'll be back...

Wouldn't know if the food is any good, but I know for damn sure the service sucks. Stood at the entrance for almost 5 minutes before someone finally acknowledged we were standing there and just pointed at a corner saying the booth there was free. Then we sat there for almost 10 more minutes before we finally left. No one came and gave us menus, no one said someone will be right there in a few. I understand being short staffed, but to just ignore a customer who is waiting to even see a menu is just poor customer service, especially for a diner that has maybe 15 tables. I will not return to this establishment, how they have two locations is beyond me. Maybe the owners should keep their focus on one location if they cant seem to hire anyone...
