“Stepping into Clarkie’s Diner feels like being wrapped in the warm embrace of a beloved, cozy eatery, where the simplicity of a classic breakfast is elevated to an art form. From the moment you’re seated, the smell of sizzling bacon and the sound of eggs frying on the griddle promise a meal that’s both hearty and delicious. The bacon and eggs dish, a staple of any diner worth its salt, is nothing short of perfection here, with each component cooked to just the right level of crispiness and tenderness.
But Clarkie’s doesn’t stop at the basics. Their pancakes, fluffy and light, yet satisfyingly filling, are a testament to the diner’s commitment to breakfast excellence. Served in generous portions, these pancakes have a way of making you plan your next visit before you’ve even finished your current meal. Indeed, it’s a rare occasion to leave without a to-go box in hand, a delightful reminder of the meal you’ve enjoyed and the abundance Clarkie’s offers.
The service at Clarkie’s Diner matches the quality of the food. Servers greet you with genuine smiles and ensure your coffee cup is never empty, making every visit feel like you’re a part of the diner’s family. The attentiveness and efficiency of the staff contribute significantly to the overall experience, ensuring that even on the busiest mornings, your wait time is minimal.
However, a word to the wise: parking can be a bit of a challenge. The diner’s popularity means that finding a spot right out front or to the side of the building can require a bit of patience. But this minor inconvenience is a small price to pay for the culinary delights that await inside.
In summary, Clarkie’s Diner is a gem that shines bright in the world of breakfast and lunch spots. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, you’re guaranteed to leave with a full stomach, a to-go box for later, and the anticipation of your next visit. It’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience that reminds you of the simple joy of well-prepared comfort food, served...
Read moreI've been coming here for 6 years now . Food is great I can't complain about that . The reason for my review today is for how the staff treated a handicap man . My family and I were eating and there was a man eating by himself next to us. This man had his AirPods in and he was signing a bit loud as he read his bible . You can clearly tell he was special needs .... Our waitress tried to be nice about it and told him if he can keep it down a bit and he did for a while but then started signing loud again and two other waitresses were rude and so unkind . The old her waitress told him "if you don't be quiet we are gonna have to kick you out " ....including a man having breakfast was rude ... am my opinion if he wanted to have a quiet breakfast, you should've just stayed home . I don't understand how anymore could treat someone with special needs like this . I'm disgusted and shame on the staff for handling things how they did .... When the gentleman left he even cleaned the table and straightened out the table ware . I hope that in the future you guys can do better and have some respect. Looking at their reviews on Yelp and it’s crazy how they have done this with a baby as well lol wow …. My so. Was with me and he is 9 months , he was restless and he did whine a few times . I remember we seeing staff get weird when he would cry . So that makes sense that people were told something in the past as well . Never...
Read moreClarkies was a a great find for someone looking for a new place to dine in for breakfast.
Today we tried the Big Hoss breakfast, thier bacon melt sandwich, and their california scrambler.
The big hoss was a country fried steak smothered with gravy and cheese on top of biscuits and grits. The portion was big so beware. The gravy was creamy, seasoned right, and had the right amount of sausage, definite win. The potatoes on the bottom of the biscuits needed a little seasoning to complete the dish in my opinion but the soft biscuits and fried steak made up for it. 4/5
The california scrambler was portioned greatly, not to much and not too little. The eggs needed a seasoning, but the bacon was thick cut and was there to save the morning, which added to their well portioned plate. The combined taste with avacado was very tasty and I would order this again. 4/5
The bacon melt was a surpirsing treat, and the portion was again, the right amount for 1 person. Most sandwiches in breakfast restaurants have a an ingredient that overpowers the rest of the sandwich, but this sandwich on that day was greatly proportioned. The tomato was sliced evenly, the bacon and cheeder worked very well, and the avacado helped close the deal. 5/5
Overall great experience, from the server, the coffee, the food all the way to the exit. I felt like I could come here more often and not worry about what I would try next. I rate this...
