Thai Chili — Restaurant in Calimesa

I will be coming back a lot to this place. To the guy that said he got no service, not my experience as we were seated within 2 minutes to a packed house and 6 people waiting to make/pickup to-go orders.

Service was adequate with the female waitress, though rather stoic in her approach (despite my efforts to make her smile) but she was never rude, just curt. I always tip according to service AND friendliness. This makes me give a 4 star instead of 5.

Food was excellent. Best orange chicken I have ever had with having been to maybe 50+ Thai place in LA/Orange/San Berdo counties. No wimpy orange sauce here, it has lots of orange zest in the sauce. We had summer rolls (these are suprising very good; i loved the green sweet/spicy sauce that it came with; with peanut sauce as well) and satay which 2 of the 4 pieces of chicken had a little too much cartilage, but still spiced and cooked well. Ginger beef was very good with lots of fresh ginger strips. Pineapple shrimp/chicken fried rice was very good. The spicy noodles were outstanding but at medium spicy I could have had a glass of milk to quell the heat (so, little spicy goes a long way here and I like spicy).

BTW, they only have beer and wine for spirits. Was looking forward to a Mai Tai, but pleasantly settled for a Tsingtao beer (in my opinion, best Asian imported beer). My wife had house chardonnay,...

The food at Thai Chili was excellent,as usual. However,soup in the pot wasnt warm enough. We asked the waitress 2 times for extra sugar for our tea,didn't get it. Was not asked if we wanted refills on the teas. When we walked in to meet our party, who was already seated,the same waitress did not ask if we wanted drinks. I had to call her over to get our order. She didn't ask if I was ready to have my soup bowl removed,she just took it. She didn't ask if we wanted any chili with our meals or extra soy sauce. When I ordered my meal,granted I take awhile to decide,she became frustrated and walked away with an attitude. I did have to get her attention again instead of her coming back to see if I was ready. We did not tip much on our checks. She came back to the table with the signed checks to ask if we had a problem with our meal. I started to explain about our complaint,but my boyfriend only let me complain about the temperature of the soup. He then told her that was all. I felt like I should have told her all of it because she asked. It wasn't as though the restaurant was crowded when we were there. It was actually before the dinner hour when we arrived. Like I said,the food was excellent!! Have never had a problem with our meals. We try to eat at Thai Chili at least once a month. We will continue to eat there whenever the urge...

I was meeting up with a group of friends. I chose because I had been there before, and in the past, food and service WERE excellent. SO SAD I TOLD MY GROUP TO SPEND THEIR MONEY HERE

This time, we walked in. There were two other people their. When the lady came to take our order. She seemed annoyed that we were not ready to order. We all ordered and then received our food pretty quickly. Then we needed extra napkins, water refills, salt, and pepper And the lady did not stop she said. Can I help you with something? She didn't stop she kept going and didn't acknowledge anything. Okay, whatever. We were busy talking visiting socializing with each other. There were 2 ladies helping us. And they just kind of wished to buy, like we weren't there and didn't get what we needed. Water drink refills, salt pepper napkins, etc. We asked again, and they didn't stop acknowledging. One of the other people in the party said you could acknowledge at least it's Good customer service she said no, she didn't agree. RUDE The food was just average. I would never invite any more friends to visit this restaurant ever again. The service alone was horrible the food was just AVERAGE...
