I saw a lot of reviews about the “older blonde lady” and now I don’t feel so bad for my own review. I’ve only been here twice, but love Yucaipa and decided to go there again today to support small businesses. The blonde lady was completely rude as soon as I arrived and I didn’t feel welcomed at all. When I asked her what kind of breads and cheeses she had, she kept pointing to signs (I still never found the cheese selection lol), and then she was further annoyed when I asked about the soup of the day. I was really nice and patient because she seemed busy (only one other customer there) and like she was having a bad day. I explained I had only been there a couple times and apologized for all the questions. She was also snapping at her younger coworker/employee, blaming her for what sounded like to be her own mistake in taking phone orders, but that particular employee seemed very pleasant and hard working to me. I have a Subway and Jersey Mikes within a mile from my house, I’d rather pay more for those sandwiches than catch those bad vibes...
Read moreWell I am going to start this off by saying I have lived in Yucaipa since 1982. I have been coming to subs of USA for a long time, long time in fact I remember when it was the only sub shop in yucaipa. I ordered the 6 inch barbecue beef, sandwich, I was waiting for that nostalgic taste and sandwich to come out. When they handed me the bag, it was very light and confusing because I remember the old barbecue beef sandwich having a little weight to it. So that $10 barbecue beef sub that I have was a piece of bread with a drizzle a barbecue sauce and some kind of meat that resembled bacon in fact, that would be the only thing that I recognized in there was the one piece of bacon. There was absolutely no meat in this sandwich. And one more little thing the young lady that took my order, was very upset about something in her life. It was taking it out on everybody. she took it out on my sandwich. The sandwich was full of emptiness...
Read moreWe decided to patronize this "mom and pop" establishment for the first time yesterday. We stopped by to order several assorted sandwiches, for pickup one hour later. When we came back exactly one hour later, the sandwiches were not ready and we had to wait 15 minutes (we were expecting company)! When we got home, we discovered they had gotten most of our order wrong. The sourdough and rye bread was STALE, and they forgot the lettuce and tomato on half the sandwiches (a stingy portion of meat and cheese only)! We had requested mustard and mayo on the side; they forgot the mustard. What a disappointment. It's "one and done" for us! I don't know how this place has stayed in business all...
