CJ's Coffee House — Restaurant in Zion

They by far have some of the best local donuts here in lake county, but their customer service is is nowhere near it. I went in there with my nephews a couple months back one who was asleep on my chest and the other who was holding my hand getting ready to order. As soon as I walked in an older woman who was working behind the counter was glaring at us didn't say hello , she did not make us feel welcomed. Also rushed out order didn't give us a moment to choose it was the late afternoon there was no chance crowd. There were other who were in there as well but were served with kindness and patience. As our order was ready she waited for us to stop looking at the menu instead of speaking to us gave us our food without any form of gratitude. Visiting Illinois from Florida. My wife and I stopped in to CJ’s. The coffee and donuts were delicious. This establishment has a small town vibe. The staff was extremely friendly. We went in twice within the week we were there. Both times the service and taste was consistent. (Outstanding). The donuts we ate were an apple cider, sour cream, toasted coconut, buttermilk, glazed and a cherry fritter. While they were all very good, the apple cider and the sour cream were our favorite. For those who mentioned that this place didn’t serve bagels in your review, and complained. . . Educate yourself before complaining. In the description of this place, nowhere did it say we sell bagels. It states we sell coffee and donuts. Don’t ding a great place because it didn’t sell something you felt it should. Donuts are so good! Horrible customer service! Wasn't greeted as I walked in. Asked for a flavored coffee and received a very rude response... "I dont have that!" (before I could even finish my sentence.) & Didnt receive a "thank you" for bringing my business in. I heard that this place was great and was so excited to try!
