I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saffron Indian Restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers an inviting and warm ambiance with beautifully decorated interiors that set the perfect mood for a relaxing meal.
Food: The menu at Saffron is extensive, featuring a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes. I started with the vegetable samosas, which were perfectly crispy and flavorful. For the main course, I opted for the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh. The Chicken Tikka Masala had a rich, creamy sauce with tender pieces of chicken, while the Lamb Rogan Josh was aromatic and cooked to perfection. The garlic naan was a great accompaniment, and the basmati rice was light and fluffy.
Service: The service at Saffron was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to accommodate special requests and provide recommendations based on our preferences.
Atmosphere: The restaurant has a cozy and elegant atmosphere, with soft lighting and tasteful decor. It's an ideal place for both casual dining and special occasions. The background music was soothing and added to the overall experience without being intrusive.
Value: Saffron offers excellent value for money. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the food justifies the price. It's a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine without breaking the bank.
Overall: Saffron Indian Restaurant is a gem that stands out for its delicious food, exceptional service, and pleasant atmosphere. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, Saffron is definitely worth a visit. I'll certainly be returning to try more dishes from their extensive menu.

Read moreWow! Saffron Indian Restaurant in Zionsville is a delightful find today! I was in a meeting through lunchtime plus 2 hours 3pm. I searched Google for Indian restaurants nearby and Saffron had good rating, reviews, and was only 25 min away. Directions were simple.
They are in a nice strip mall with a small storefront of windows with blinds. Inside you're met with stunning black wall accent and tables, all very clean and seating for about 30. The tables are set with modern table service before you arrive!
I ordered my favorites: papadum with mint and tangy chutney. This papadum was the most delicate I've ever had! And flavorful! The mint side was unique in it was not sad and watery but blossomed in my mouth!
Next is the other bread... garlic Naan. Again, so flavorful it made me pause to enjoy the buttery goodness. Just the right amount of fresh garlic.
Main course: Chicken Shahi Korma, badda-boom! It was so pretty that I had to admire it before tasting! Lovely, creamy yellow cashew-coconut sauce with large chunks of chicken breast meat in a beautiful copper dish. Served with white basmati rice.
I was able to talk to the waiter and the owner, Vijay Kumar, after I had eaten. Vijay just started Saffron 2 months ago. He was the former owner of Little India, but wanted a new place with new recipes and attitude. I think he is off to a good start in Zionsville with Saffron!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Saffron for dine-in or carry-out. I know I have a menu to work my way through!

The menu is a celebration of India's rich culinary heritage, offering a wide array of dishes that are both flavorful and authentic. We started with the samosas, which were perfectly crispy and filled with a delicious blend of spices and vegetables. For the main course, my daughter had the butter chicken and I had the curry chicken which both were incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, with a rich and creamy sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The butter naan was soft and buttery, making it the perfect accompaniment to the meal. The mango kulfi for dessert really knocked it out of the park.
What truly set Saffron apart, however, is the staff. The staff were incredibly attentive and ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience was enjoyable. Their genuine friendliness and dedication to great service made us feel right at home.
Overall, Saffron is a fantastic addition to the local dining scene. Whether you're a fan of Indian food or looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit. We can't wait...
