Disappointing. I place my order online. Got confirmation email and started tracking the progress of my pizza. When it got to boxing I took off to pick it up. The initial estimate was 17-27 minutes to completion. I arrived 20 minutes after my confirmation and was told my pizza was in the oven and would take 4 more minutes.
I knew at that point I was in trouble. About 5 minutes later... Still no word so I started pacing around in the lobby. I was told at that point my order was messed up and needed to be restarted. It would be another 5 minutes for my pizza to be ready.
At this point, I call "BS". The young man at the register apologized a number of times but offered nothing to make up for their mistake. Because I ordered online, I had already paid.
At this point the young man or better yet, the manager on duty could have offered... to comp a drink while I waited. Nope.... Or, maybe, they could throw in a dessert. Nope.... Or maybe they could have offered some sort of refund. Nope... Nothing.
The young man handed me my pizza 40 minutes after I ordered it and about 20 minutes in total after I arrived to pick it up.
The moral to the story is.... Avoid this store if you are on a schedule. And goodness knows.. If anything goes wrong with your order, the staff does not appear to be trained in basic customer service. I don't plan to go back to this store. Mistakes happen but how those mistakes are handled is...
Read moreAfter waiting 76 minutes, I called to see where our pizzas were. They told us they would arrive in 30 minutes. The manager, Matt, could not find our order, even though they had charged us not once, but twice. Apparently, they delivered the pizzas to their own address! The manager then stated, "I'm not sure what actually happened to those pizzas."
Matt then told me it would be another hour to remake and get our order out to us. We told him to cancel the order. He never once offered a discount or anything. I would think it would be good business practice to put a rush on our order and get it done! He then said it would take until tomorrow to see the reverse of charges on our bank card. Remember, they charged us twice for one order that we never received! When we questioned that he got snippy, said he had no control over our bank, and hung up on me. I don't think he has any control over his pizza store either. Not once was I rude to this guy, nor did I use an obnoxious tone....even though we waited over an hour, and it's past 9 PM.
This is the second and last time they have totally screwed up a delivery order. The last was a school order which was in the tune of $900. The order was placed for 11:00 AM. After multiple phone calls, we were still waiting at 1:15 PM.
The Papa John's in Zionsville on Oak St. has management issues. Do yourself a favor...

1st: Took them an hour to make and deliver a single pizza. An address fairly close and local to the store.
2nd: Most recent attempt was today. I ordered a single pizza with an unimpressive 50ish min make and deliver wait time. Only to get a call about when it should have been here from the store asking me to confirm the address and describe my location. The driver was lost .... Um don't they have Google maps? I let them know they had the right address and what vehicle was in my driveway and he said the driver is close and will be there shortly. After another 10mins I called the store back and said he hadn't arrived yet. The manager said I will be refunded for my order but that the pizza should still get there soon. After another hour past when it should have arrived I attempt to call the store and no answer. Likely they don't what to work with me anymore. Very disappointing.
I enjoy Papa John's as a whole but this location is about as bad as they come. I've lived downtown by the IUPUI campus and the off campus pizza place never even had more than a 30min eta. It seems they just care more about giving their customers...
