First I want the emphasize that Satya ABSOLUTELY excels in both SERVICE and LOCATION.
The front desk and employees were all very responsive to our concerns and arranged easy service from Da Nang to Hue, along with very good follow up to ensure that we arrived at our destination safely (Shout out to Manager Truong). They definitely went above and beyond, so I'd recommend staying here for that.
Another pro was the location. It is a very beautiful location next to the waterfront. Easy access to beautiful sights, only a short walk away, and a lot of Korean goods and western-style restaurants if that's up your alley, but it was also easily accessible to go from here to anywhere in Da Nang. Stay here if you would like a great view.
I will preemptively say this: it is worth the price to stay here. You are getting exactly what is promised along with excellent staff and a great view. No need to read further than this if this is all you're concerned about.
But moving on, I did not some things that I felt held Satya back.
In the first room we stayed in, there was possibly mold and visible dirty stains on the wall. Not only that but the safe didn't work as expected, and the balcony door refused to shut as seen in the attached media.
To Satya's credit, the staff was very receptive to our concerns.
In our second room, we also found a bit of a stain on the wall, but less so than the first room and looked less like it could be mold as well as not wanting to trouble the staff further.
While here, the shower water leaked below the shower door all over the rest of the bathroom, so lay a foot towel here first. Furthermore, the hot water didn't stick around. Finally, the wifi was really spotty and would abruptly disconnect every 2 or so minutes. It was extremely inconsistent and, when connected, weak at best.
But like I said, Satya had some of the best service I experienced and an incredible view. If you've the appropriate expectations, a budget, and an open mind, Satya is right for you. I think it was...
Read moreI don't typically write reviews under 4 stars unless the experience is truly disappointing, but unfortunately, Satya Hotel in Da Nang falls into that category. Let's start with the positives: the location and decor are fantastic. Being right across from the Pink Cathedral is a highlight, and the lobby is modern and inviting. The front desk staff genuinely tries to be helpful, but the manager's lack of support left a bad taste.
I arrived early and gave my bag to the staff at noon, planning to check in after my meetings. When I returned at 3:45 pm, well after their strict 2 pm check-in time, everything seemed fine. However, the real issue started when I tried to get some work done in my room. I specifically choose hotels with free WiFi, but the connection in my room was so weak that I couldn’t do any work. Despite reaching out via email and phone (even translating my requests into Vietnamese), I only received a visit from staff who confirmed the weak signal and promised to send someone else up. That person never came, and I was left waiting all night with no solution.
At 7 am the next morning, I went down to breakfast, which was the least appetizing buffet I’ve encountered in my three months in Vietnam—only watermelon for fruit, which was disappointing. I asked again about the WiFi, and after several more hours, they finally plugged in a WiFi booster around 10:30 am, which worked perfectly. Why this couldn't have been done the night before is beyond me.
I requested an extra hour for late checkout to make up for the inconvenience, but the manager begrudgingly offered only 30 minutes. That little bit of flexibility would have made all the difference in leaving a more positive impression. Sadly, the rigid response and lack of follow-through on the WiFi issue means I won’t be returning. A real disappointment for what could have been...
Read moreSuperb service. The hotel is very well maintained and air conditioned. Its very modern design and the staffs are more than amazing. They will help you book tours or private cabs for you, and demonstrated perfect presentations of the hotel and walk you to your room.
Good hairdryer provided instead of the cheap or small ones, rooms are clean and spacious, great samsung hd tv, toilets are well equipped, bed is comfortable. Morning breakfast is a feast, they have various food ranging from small stuffs like bacon to bigger meals like carbonara, desserts are available too.
The private cab they provided for me was excellent. Our driver was very patient and careful, even though he can't communicate in English, his attitude is a boon and drives at a nice steady pace for us to look at the views and always try to ensure our safety instead of the aggressive, honking maniac taxis all around Da Nang.
Again, I can't stress how amazing the staff service are, they even surprised my father on his birthday with a cake and sing along! Thank you so much for making our day and stay a memorable one. Definitely recommend to people thats looking for an affordable and excellent place...
