Pros staff very friendly & helpful. beautiful modern, spacious room with great view of beach & city. they had set up towels & rose petals on our bed for our 1 year wedding anniversary. complimentary cake for our anniversary. upon checking into our room, we noticed a slightly unpleasant smell & staff immediately delivered a diffuser into our room so our room ended up smelling like a spa for our whole stay. turn down service provided us with an extra 2 bottles of water which we actually preferred over chocolate that other hotels usually provide. we had to check out very early at 5am due to an early flight, so they prepared breakfast-to-go bags for us which included ham & cheese sandwich with fresh tomato & lettuce, assortment of pastries, boiled egg & bottle of water with napkin and disposable fork & knife. Such a lovely gesture.
Perks for guests staying in an executive room: executive menu at breakfast such as freshly squeezed juices & Vietnamese iced coffee. Limited food options such as beef noodle soup etc. executive lounge access with daily complimentary morning tea 11am-1pm and afternoon tea 5-7pm. This included hot & cold beverages and some snack foods including dim sims, spring rolls & finger sandwiches. They also had sweet pastries, biscuits, nuts etc.
Cons: slow elevator. staff a bit disorganised/confused at times but likely due to the hotel being new so there are probably still some teething issues.
Specific comments about the Executive Corner Suite - Sea View: it was great having 2 TVs: 1 in the living area and 1 in the bedroom. However, it kind of went to waste because the TVs did not have any streaming services such as Netflix. It did not have any Chromecast options either. This was quite disappointing as you'd think being a new hotel, they'd be up to date with technology. Many other modern hotels offer these services. no rails to hang hand towels at the sinks. no international sockets in the bathroom which was frustrating as I'd have to plug my blow dryer & straightener at the socket on top of the bar fridge. Luckily there was a mirror there I could use. only 1 international socket on 1 side of the bed. Other hotels have it on both sides of the bed. The bedside without the international socket had a USB socket which was not working. only 1 bin in the whole suite. Would have been good to have 2 bins e.g. 1 in bathroom + 1 in living area.
Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend to others, just with a few minor improvements it could be a...
Read moreI recently stayed at Radisson property as part of a group of nine guests, and while we appreciated the overall facilities, there were a few areas where our experience fell short of expectations. I am a frequent member of Radisson and have visited the hotel chain at various locations, hence the undoubted choice.
Room Allocation for Couples: As a Radisson member, I had provided specific preferences for bed types in advance, particularly for couples in our group. Unfortunately, one of the couples was assigned a twin bed room, which significantly impacted their comfort during what was meant to be a relaxing vacation. Sharing a bed is a basic expectation for couples, especially on leisure travel, and we would have appreciated more attention to this detail.
Lack of Indian Cuisine Options: Despite noticing a large number of Indian guests at the hotel, we found the breakfast buffet and the Marketplace menu lacking in Indian food options. I personally made a request to the staff for consideration, but there seemed to be little acknowledgment or effort to accommodate this. A few culturally inclusive options would go a long way in enhancing the dining experience for diverse guests.
Staff Behavior Toward Children: There were two instances where children from our group, who briefly attempted to enter the breakfast area alone, were addressed rather sternly by staff. While we understand the need for rules, a more polite and gentle approach would have been appropriate. One of the older children even remarked that the treatment felt discriminatory, which was quite disheartening.
We chose Radisson with the expectation of high standards in hospitality and inclusiveness, and I hope you will consider this feedback as constructive input to further improve the...
