The restaurant has a very nice ambiance, it is clean, comfortable and well maintained. Everything about the restaurant is telling, and every detail has been carefully thought out. From the design, layout, furniture, table setting, well-stocked and clean bathrooms, a magnificent menu and above average service. Pizza 4 P’s knows what they are doing, just look at the reviews. Although we were seated after a short wait and were checked on by the servers, it took over ten minutes to get our water and another six-seven minutes to get crushed red pepper after our pizza. was served. Overall the staff was friendly and thanked us as we left. About the food: I have tried many pizza restaurants in Da Nang and I have to say, I was disappointed with my pizza. My pizza was very thin, limp and soggy. The thinness of the dough along with the topping will not allow the dough to cook or crisp. Pizza is made many different ways, but soggy should not be an acceptable way. I can’t imagine this is their namesake dish. Just to make sure, I called the server over and showed her the pizza and asked if this is normal. She replied, “Yes, it’s thin crust pizza. The good news is that the ingredients are excellent and the outer crust was crisp, chewy flavorful. Our second dish was lasagna. It had the right amount of sauce, meat and cheese and was served hot. I did not notice if it had ricotta cheese, if it did, I could not taste it. I rate the lasagna above average. Overall my first visit to Pizza 4 P’s was underwhelming given the great reviews. I will most likely return as there are many items on the menu that I would like to try. In summary, I believe Pizza 4 P’s offers a great dining experience and can...
Read moreLet me begin by saying I’m not a pizza snob by any means. In fact, this is the very first time I’ve ever felt compelled to give a pizza place, or any restaurant, for that matter, less than a five-star review. Unfortunately, the experience left me no choice. 😢
We ordered two pizzas: the Teriyaki Chicken and the Four Mushroom. Visually, they looked decent, but things quickly went downhill from there.
One of the fundamental aspects of a good pizza, and what makes it enjoyable to eat, is structure.
Sadly, that was completely missing here. The center of the pizza was paper-thin and soggy, making it impossible to hold a slice without the toppings sliding off. Meanwhile, the crust edges were overly thick, bordering on the texture of thick bread, which made the whole slice feel wildly unbalanced.
As for flavor, both pizzas were noticeably underseasoned. The ingredients themselves weren’t terrible, but the overall taste was bland and uninspired. I was surprised to find salt packets on the table instead of oregano or chili flakes, which, while unusual for a pizza place, seems to be a common enough request here that they’ve leaned into it.
On a brighter note, the ambiance of the restaurant was genuinely lovely. Japanese inspired, modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The service was also excellent; the staff were warm, attentive, and clearly trying their best. 😊
Unfortunately, great service can’t make up for pizza that misses the mark so significantly.
While I wanted to like this place, and appreciated the effort put into everything else, the food, which should be the centerpiece, simply...
Read moreNo, seriously… How is this place so popular and everyone giving it 5 stars??? I will never understand it.
After the disappointment with the other Pizza 4P’s restaurant that had no smoking area, we decided to give this one a go. God! What a disappointment! You call this “pizza”? It was French crêpe at most! I ordered 2 halves and started eating right after it was served. Well, it was already all soggy. Nothing crispy. The dough was definitely “too thin”. You will never be able to eat it with your hands. The taste was also meh! Especially the meat balls one. Italian pizza, huh?
The pasta carbonara wasn’t good. We’ve had so much better elsewhere. Very little bacon and not creamy enough.
Only the craft beers were good so I’m giving it 2 stars.
The service upstairs was OK. Despite all their efforts, they can’t get on an acceptable level. Despite the increased number of waiters, we still had to try hard to catch their attention. We wanted some privacy and they couldn’t help but put all customers near each other like sardines. The restaurant was half empty.
On top of that, our waitress decided to teach us where to put our bags after seeing us putting them on our seat where we wanted them to be. She insisted that they had “a special basket under the table designed for that purpose”. Wow!
In addition to what we’ve experienced upstairs, the waitress that served us downstairs was straight out of a military camp. Definitely too dry for the service charges that they add.
Needless to say that we’re never...
