Nestled amidst the bustling Da Nang streets, this exquisite vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant is a true haven for culinary enthusiasts. The captivating beauty of the interior and exterior captivates the senses, providing a visual feast that complements the delightful dining experience. While the prices may trend slightly higher than average, the exceptional taste and quality of the dishes confirm that every penny spent is indeed worthwhile, offering unbeatable value for money. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for those longing for a unique and satisfying dining experience.
Stepping into this culinary oasis felt like entering a hidden gem, surrounded by lush gardens and tranquil ponds that set the perfect stage for a serene meal. The soothing melodies in the background added to the ambiance, creating a peaceful retreat from the outside world. The attentive and caring staff further elevated the experience, ensuring that my culinary journey remained free from coriander, a thoughtful touch that truly impressed me.
The menu at this establishment leans towards healthier vegetarian choices, each dish a delightful blend of flavors that cater to both the palate and the body. The mango mushroom dish I indulged in was a revelation, combining sweet and savory notes in perfect harmony. Additionally, the lemon basil drink was a refreshing twist, especially for a basil enthusiast like myself, enhancing the overall dining experience.
During my visit, I was delighted to find a predominantly local crowd, a testament to the authenticity and quality of the cuisine offered here. If I could give zero stars, I would. Sangha Vegetarian Restaurant markets itself as a high-end establishment, but the experience was nothing short of infuriating.
Here’s why:
Deceptive and Inaccurate Menu They claim to have six rotating menus, but none of them are accurate. I asked about multiple items, and every time I was told they didn’t have what I wanted. When I inquired about protein options, I was first told there was none, then miraculously, a dish with tofu appeared. But guess what? The menu clearly stated it didn’t have tofu. Their excuse? “Translation mistake.” No, it’s not. It’s just a poorly managed menu. Then, I saw another dish labeled as having spring rolls. They showed me a picture, and there were no spring rolls. Again, “translation mistake.” This is beyond ridiculous—how can customers make informed decisions when the menu is flat-out wrong?
Rude and Incompetent Staff The staff were dismissive and treated me like an idiot for questioning the obvious contradictions in their menu. They walked off mid-conversation, leaving me to figure out the mess on my own. This level of service is unacceptable anywhere.
Ridiculously Overpriced They charge many times more than other restaurants in Da Nang while offering subpar service and a chaotic dining experience. They’re pretending to be a premium establishment but fail to deliver on even the basics.
No Accountability It’s clear the management doesn’t care. If they did, they’d have a proper menu, train their staff to be respectful, and ensure the customer experience matches the premium prices they charge.
Sangha is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. The owner should shut it down, fire everyone, and start fresh with a restaurant that has a functioning menu and a competent team. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Da Nang. This place is...
Read moreSangha has quickly become our favorite vegetarian restaurant in town, offering not only delicious food but also a truly peaceful dining experience.
From the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed by an atmosphere of serenity. Gentle Buddha music played softly in the background, and the subtle fragrance of pandan leaves filled the space, creating a calming and homelike feeling. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease, as though you’ve stepped away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
One of the unique aspects of Sangha is that the menu changes every day. While this means you may not be able to enjoy the exact same dish on your next visit, it also keeps the dining experience exciting and full of pleasant surprises. We personally love this concept, as it gives us the chance to explore new flavors each time. Every dish we tried was both wholesome and flavorful — a perfect balance of being healthy yet deeply satisfying.
For groups, Sangha also offers set menus designed for two to six people, which makes it a wonderful choice for family meals or gatherings with friends. Each set feels thoughtfully prepared, showcasing a variety of dishes that highlight the richness of vegetarian cuisine.
Overall, Sangha is more than just a restaurant — it’s a place to enjoy nourishing food in a tranquil setting that feels almost spiritual. We left feeling not only full but also refreshed, and we look forward to...
