Golden Beach Hotel — Hotel in Đà Nẵng

Booked this place for one night before flying out. Now we have stayed in some pretty dodgy places, this was definitely up there with the worst. The only good thing was the price (and, oddly, the TV channels). The bed could have been a slab of concrete with a sheet over it. Not worth the pain. The bathroom was falling apart. The room door doesn't lock securely at all. Air conditioning doesn't cool properly. No soundproofing whatsoever, could hear people in the other rooms on our floor.|Worst of all; when we checked in, the guy asked for a passport (normal) but then didn't want to give it back. I told him he could take a copy or photo but would need to return the original, he finally agreed and said he would bring it up to our room in 10 minutes (this was at 12 noon). At about 6:30pm, still no passport, we went to retrieve it on our way to dinner. After a heated discussion with another lady at the front desk, she agreed to return it if we paid for the room in advance. We had no problem with paying early, and did so straight away. Basically, we have been traveling for 10 months straight and this is the first hotel we've had a problem with our passport. Security wise, there is no way you should leave such an important document with a hotel/motel/hostel of this quality. And our concerns were validated when she proceeded to get it out of an UNLOCKED DRAWER, no safe in sight....

We booked the hotel from 23 to 26 august 2016 1 week before hand, we reserved for couple deluxe room but when we arrived they arranged us for standard room and told us deluxe rooms were full. Although they did compensate us with family room in the ground floor but it was an awful experience. The room was pretty clean but quite noisy and someone was continuously trying to open our door and the staff did not clean our room the 2nd day. Moreover, the most annoying thing was that no internet connection though the wifi signal was strong. I did call the receptionist to fix it many times and even told the manager about it the next day but the problem still remained. After we checked out this morning, we could not be happy more. Now, we are in Golden bell homestay in Hoi An, an amazing place to feel actually relax again. Its on 69 Hai Thuong Lan Ong st, Hoi An. I recommend you to stay here if you...
