Sky36 Bar has stunning views of the city on top of Novotel. It rained so the rooftop was not open due to slick surfaces so guests were arranged on the 35th floor near the dance floor. The staff and DJs tried their best to move the crowd but I noticed many people who wanted the picturesque views quickly scanned and departed. Wanting an evening out in Da Nang, we uncorked a bottle of wine to enjoy with a few appetizers.

Sky36 has a decent food menu from Novotel and we decided to order bbq pork skewers and cold cut canapes. Underwhelming to say the least... avoid the BBQ which were presented well but came way too over cooked. Canapes of cheese and cold cuts were our bite sized favorites and paired well with the wine.

My take away, glad I didn't pay a cover charge. Those that don't drink can enjoy hookah service, watch the Sky36 dancers strut their stuff every 30 or so minutes or grab a beer and go. The music on the 35th has great sound but was way too loud. Guests staying a few hours can plan on dropping 1.9-2.5M dong with bottle service, another 500-750 on food... say no to the hot towels and water. Table and counter bar reservations can be made online or Facebook. Bottle service starts at 1650K Dong, ($65 USD) per bottle. Beers start at 290 Dong ($12) mixers 580 ($24).

We had lot of expectations from this place but it all went down the drain because of the staff behavior. We wanted to experience vibe and have a drink and dinner after reaching Da Nang on 3rd Oct, 2022 (Monday).

We reached about 8:30 pm, the place was empty being a Monday and since my wife is a vegetarian we requested them for a Veg Pizza, Fries and a Cocktail.

After a while the waiter came over and said since you are 2 people and insisted that we need to order 2 drinks and we were like my wife won't be drinking but despite that he was persistent to order 2 drinks and after having a word with his manager he agreed with one.

Later again after a while he came back again and said we cannot make veg pizza since there was no broccoli. We said that's fine you can make one without it and again insisted that you need to order 2 drinks which was absolutely irritating and disappointed since we had already placed our order.

Later he again came with some excuse to which we felt it's worth spending even a second here since after this his tone was rude.

We have lot of expectations being a premium upscale bar but I think they first need to have some class within their staff on how to deal with their customers.
