My partner didnt believe there was a good sushi restaurant in da nang. I wanted to prove her wrong with sushi bê but it ended up a disaster 🤣🤣
Food: There were a few good dishes, but they couldn’t make up for the others. The hamachi should have been firm and creamy, but what we were served was soft and bland. As a big fan of hamachi, I was pretty disappointed. The steamed egg custard was too watery and had an off-putting smell. The akimo, my favorite dish, was a major letdown. It lacked the usual creaminess and was bland. The liver fell apart even before I touched it. I have to admit, their uni roll was pretty good. The sashimi boat and seared nigiri were decent, but definitely didn’t justify their premium price tag.
Service: The server seemed confused by the menu, which was quite funny. They tried to be welcoming, but their training was clearly lacking. It was amusing that the chef saw us before the waitress even noticed we had arrived. I had to ask multiple times for them to clean up my dishes.
Location: It’s in the heart of Da Nang, so it’s easy to find. I loved...
Read moreThe meal was for two people, and we chose the 2.1 million VND option each. While the food was generally good, we both felt that the price didn’t match the portion sizes, which were quite small.
We also ordered a bottle of carbonated water but were surprised to find that the price only covered a single glass. They brought out a small bottle, poured one small glass with ice, and left the rest untouched. This wasn't clearly communicated. Another guest received a full can of soda. We also ordered the peach wine, which cost 160K VND. Unfortunately, the serving was very small, with two large ice cubes taking up most of the glass. It didn’t feel like good value for the price, and we found the water and wine amount to be deceptive, which left a very poor impression on a 5 million VND meal.
We had one udon, and the broth was bland. The most disappointing part was the miso soup at the end, which lacked flavor compared to miso soups we've had elsewhere. Although the other dishes were good, the portion sizes simply didn't justify...
Read moreDefinitely the best sushi I've ever had. Really excellent quality fish and a vibrant atmosphere with fish prepared in front of you and the head chef in the back occasionally announcing that a type of fish is sold out, to which all the staff shout "hai!", fun stuff.
They were out of a few items on the menu like soft shell crab but I guess that's a good sign of popularity. The manager is very friendly and professional and told me she's from Japan so that's another plus for authenticity. She recommended the salmon teriyaki and it was delicious, as was the selection of three blue fin tuna thing. Really exceptional! This place isn't cheap but you definitely get what you pay for. I'll...
