I recently had the pleasure of dining at India Gate Indian Restaurant in Da Lat, Vietnam, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Here's a detailed review of various aspects of the restaurant:
Food Quality The food at India Gate is absolutely top-notch. Each dish bursts with authentic Indian flavors that are both rich and aromatic. From the starters to the main courses, everything is cooked to perfection. The use of spices is well-balanced, making every bite a delightful experience. Whether you're a fan of vegetarian or non-vegetarian cuisine, there are plenty of options to choose from, each prepared with fresh ingredients that contribute to the overall taste and quality.
Cleanliness and Neatness One of the standout features of India Gate is its impeccable cleanliness. The restaurant maintains a high standard of hygiene, ensuring that every corner is spotless. The tables and seating arrangements are neat and well-organized, providing a comfortable and pleasant dining environment. It's evident that the staff takes pride in maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness, which significantly enhances the overall dining experience.
Health and Hygiene Health and hygiene are clearly a priority at India Gate. The kitchen, visible from certain areas of the restaurant, is kept in pristine condition. The staff follows strict hygiene protocols, which is reassuring for health-conscious diners. The food is prepared in a clean environment, and the ingredients used are fresh, which is evident in the taste and quality of the dishes served.
Taste The taste of the food at India Gate is truly exceptional. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavor, with the perfect blend of spices that is neither too overpowering nor too mild. The variety of dishes caters to different palates, from mild to spicy, ensuring that every guest finds something they enjoy. The naan and curries are particularly noteworthy, with textures and flavors that are hard to match. The desserts, too, are a treat, offering a sweet end to a delightful meal.
Customer Service The customer service at India Gate deserves special mention. The restaurant staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, going out of their way to ensure that guests have a pleasant dining experience. On my visit, the restaurant guy was exceptionally helpful, providing recommendations and ensuring that all our needs were met promptly. Read moreIf I could I would rate in negative star. Horrible experience. I ordered for a vegetarian thali. I confirmed from the chef too. My wife(vegetarian) ate thinking it's panner. I called the next day. The lady who answered said it's not possible as she confirmed with the chef. Only after I sent the picture of the Chicken pieces she agreed, and said the chef mistook chicken as vegetarian. Then she passed the phone to Praveen who says it happened because he was busy with the only customer they had at the time so couldn't review my order. I remembered no one else was there for which he agreed saying he went out. Then he says just give one more change and will fix the mistake. I said my wife is scared of your place now. He said let me deliver proper vegetarian thali today and fix this issue and will deliver it myself only to deny later. He asked to give a call so he will process it then. Later in the evening when called, Praveen asked about the bread. I said as we discussed earlier give little of both chapati and paratha. He says so you want extra item now? and he started misbehaving. Then the lady took over the phone not to apologize but say I am demanding to much for which I said just send what you can.
Finally the food arrived they asked for the money.(This was a compensation for the mistake)
Praveen says he doesn't have time now and hung up saying either pay or we will take the food back.
How more bizarre can this go?
So now you be the judge and decide whether you have so much patience to go through this. I feel stupid to give them the chance they don't deserve. The food is not good either. This place doesn't deserve any attention of any kind. I absolutely don't recommend. Better try local vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant. Very...
Read moreI have visited IndiaGate Restaurant at least four times since descovering it, and I cannot get enough.of it. After visiting an Indian chain restaurant and being very dissapointed, I was reluctant to try another one. I just happened to walk by and, loving Indian food, I decided to give it a try. That was an excellent impulse decision. I have been back alone and with friends: everybody loves it. The menu is extensive and they respect your choice of spice level. I have tried the Coconut Lamb Curry with Kashmiri Rice Pulau; Lamb Rogan Josh, the Palak Paneer, the Coconut Rice, the Basmati Rice, the Cheese Garlic Naan and several other dishes, including chicken and prawns. The portions are large and I always end up with more than what I can eat. I am not fond of tea with milk, but not knowing and failing to ask, I ordered Tea Massala. I was surprised how wonderful it tasted with all the sweet spices added to it! I know that me and my friends will return. If you have not been there yet, I urge...
