We were sitting across the road enjoying a coffee when we noticed a steady stream of people queuing up at a small street-side bakery, Kimi, located right on Nguyễn Văn Trỗi. Curiosity got the better of us, and we decided to check out what the fuss was about.
Despite its small size, Kimi draws a big crowd, and it was clear why. The standout item seemed to be the “Bánh Nướng Phô Mai Kéo Sợi” a fluffy, golden baked cake filled with creamy stringy cheese. We decided to order the same, and honestly, it was one of the best spontaneous decisions we’ve made in Da Lat.
The cake was warm, freshly baked, and had the perfect texture, crispy on the outside, soft and rich inside, with that gooey cheese pulling away with each bite. It’s not just tasty, it’s comforting. We could see why people were happy to wait in line.
The prices are also incredibly reasonable at 22K VND, which makes this a great little street food experience that doesn’t break the bank.

Across the street is Married Beans coffee shop where you can get a coffee and sit...
