Found this place just by looking on Google at reviews for local places. Not many restaurants in the middle of Dalat with 5 stars, so we thought we'd give Sagar a try.
Really glad we did! The staff were lovely, the place looked nice and clean, the food was delicious. They spoke English well and explained the restaurant had only been open a month or so. If you ride a bike it looked like there was plenty of space for parking out front too.
We had the masala poppadoms with a delicious chutney thing, chicken saagwala, butter paneer and rice, but the staff also brought us out a complimentary naan bread too. It was all really tasty.
Total cost for the above and two drinks was around 360k, which seems fair when some other non-viet restaurants we were looking at nearby were charging 200k+ per meal.

It seems to be a bit removed from the general hubbub of the tourist area, but is in fine company, as there are several fine restaurants and cafés around it. The ambience is very Indian, with bright maroon-pink sofas and curtains, and colourful Indian-themed wall murals. There's plenty of natural light streaming into this beautiful restaurant. I ordered a vegetarian thali. It was pretty large when it came, with a huge buttered garlic naan, rice, a mixed veg curry, palak paneer, dal, raita, gulab jamun and papad. Chutneys and onions in vinegar came as accompaniments. The food was delicious and authentically Indian, without being too greasy or thick. I really enjoyed my meal, a bit of India to remember so...
