Lovely Lunch Stop During Our Day Tour

As part of our one-day tour, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the meal. Between the two of us, we shared a delicious and well-balanced spread that included:

Freshly squeezed orange squash – refreshing and not too sweet

Creamy avocado smoothie – rich and satisfying

Stir-fried morning glory with garlic – a simple yet flavourful veggie dish

Spring rolls with shrimp, pork, and vegetables – light and tasty

Bread pan (Bánh Mì Chao) – hearty and great with the dipping sauce

Bún Chả – a classic Vietnamese rice noodle dish that did not disappoint

The portions were just right for two, and the flavours were authentic and well-prepared. At 370,000 VND for everything, it was excellent value for a filling and enjoyable lunch. Friendly and excellent service. Highly recommended for a casual and satisfying meal...

I have no idea how they got 4.8 rating overall.

Food - beef stew was hard and dry, morning glory was very oily, baguette accompanying the stew was cold. Generally they have the same fee ingredients and they put them in different dishes (in baguette, in spring roll, on a plate 'deconstructed'). Staff was touching our food with their bare hands.

Service - we ordered the pork and prawn spring roll but was asked to change to the grilled pork spring roll because it was unavailable. However, after we had the grilled pork spring roll, another order of the pork and prawn roll came. We ordered a banh mi that was taking very long to arrive. When we tried to enquire, they wanted to order another one for us without checking our orders.

Atmosphere - inside was full of smoke and...

The food looks good in photos. But taste wise, it's really just okok. If you are looking for authentic Bun Cha taste, go to Hanoi. The meat served here doesn't have the charred taste and sauce also is also lacking the flavors. It's basically only fish souce here. curry wise, its lacking flavours, too bland for our liking. The chicken spring roll is just flour coated with chicken. Looks great but taste normal. Maybe , give the pork spring roll a try instead.

Service is also average. Came in together with some Americans but waiter don't even bother attending to us. On other hand, serve the americans with great pleasure. Lol, maybe they think that Americans are richer. Think twice again because asians are the ones driving...
