Steak Ngon was highly recommended and had rave reviews. For starters they were out of mushroom soup, one of the main reasons we chose this option tonight. OK so I had the pumpkin soup. It was very good. I left my spoon in my soup bowl, which is a common signal in better quality restaurants that I was done with that spoon. The waiter took it out and put it back at my place setting. My wife also wanted mushroom soup but settled on a salad. They brought out a large salad for two, not what we ordered. We both had some of the salad, which was nothing special. For our main we ordered the 500 gr Waygu beef, rare, with mushroom and peppercorn sauces, baby broccoli (boc choy), both potatoes & onions and mashed potatoes. They didn't have the baby boc choy??? OK, so we had asparagus. Before we served ourselves it took 5 minutes to flag down our waiter and ask for clean plates. I am not spending that kind of money on Waygu steak to eat it swimming in salad dressing. The steak was cooked medium, had a very large cap of fat on one end, but it was still pretty tender. After all of that, we still tried to order dessert. They only had one, creme brule, though the menu lists at least 3. OK, 2 creme brule and 2 coffees ... they did not have any coffee???? We are in Da Lat, no mushrooms for soup, no boc choy and the no coffee???? We just asked for the bill. I paid my $2,700,000 VND ($110USD) and left thinking I needed a shower. The staff needs to be trained to the level the restaurant aspires to and whoever is buying and cooking their food needs to work on being able to make what their menu lists, every single night, or trim the already limited menu. We saw another couple come in received their food and then walked out, not sure if they ate any of it. Left a full glass of wine on the table. They were both upset. So we were not the only ones. Not impressed...

We had such a beautiful experience at Steak Ngon last July 26! We mentioned that it was my birthday dinner, and they went out of their way to make it special. The setup was thoughtful and elegant, just the kind of atmosphere you’d want to celebrate something meaningful.
Now let’s talk about the star of the evening, Andy, one of their staff who truly made the night unforgettable. Andy is the kind of person every restaurant should have: warm, genuinely attentive, and has an incredible eye for detail. He checked in on us at the right moments, gave amazing food and wine pairing recommendations (trust him, he knows what he’s doing), and was such a joy to talk to. His service wasn’t just good, it was exceptional.
We ordered steak, two pastas, and pizza, and everything was delicious. You can really tell the quality and care they put into their food. The steak? Cooked perfectly. The pastas? Rich and flavorful. The pizza? Just the right balance of crunch and chew.
Thank you again to the whole team, and especially to Andy, for making my birthday dinner so memorable. We’ll definitely be back, and recommending this place to friends...
Read moreEvery time I came here, the experience was greatly remarkable. I love this place. The food is, of course, delicious. We were served with very nice steak, pasta, salad, drinks, and absolutely amazing desserts. The panacotta is a game changer. Make sure you try it. We tried the combo because we were no brainers and did not regret. We ordered medium rare steak with black pepper sauce and red wine sauce. Steak was juicy and nicely cooked. Both me and my boyfriend were very happy with the portion because we eat a lot. We were full in the end. We also had the best anniversary here. We were lucky to have met Bruce, a Hawaiian who has been in Vietnam for 5 years, and had our meal paid by him, for which we are super grateful (we hope to meet you again and thank you for inspiring us with your kindness). We were also served by the nicest waiters, one of whom moved all the way from HCMC and used to live in District 2. We forgot to ask for his name but we respect his friendliness and professionalism. I highly recommend this place and hope it'll reach more people in the...
