Parking : ❌must pay 5k vnd
Wifi : ❌extremely laggy; unloaded latency around 200 ms on the second floor terrasse; very impactical. For heavy web relient work, not a good spot.
Service : ❌ under average; it was served in a cup without any handle. Probably good for cold drinks only. It was too hot and had to find a cup with handle. No coaster is provided nor napkin so it went all over the place. Only 1 cash for a shop big like that. Sometimes you have to line up quite a long time just to order or pay something. Only 1 WC. The counter is too wide so it is not practical to talk with the cashier.
Atmosphere: good. Attention to visual impact.
Coffee : 😐❌ not okay; nothing wow-worthy with a local washed Arabica; the taste is really mainstream; not the kind of coffee you use for degustation; more for girly mix drinks; they could propose more high-end processes and more variety. The aftertaste has something off. It oxidizes way too quickly. Clearly not a place for coffee enthousiasts. It is more a tax system to use the space rather than a coffee you will sip with joy.
Coffee effects : ❌❌really bad; fogs the mind and brings you to WC very quickly; suggests high mold contaminent in my own opinion (before roasting issues). My suggestion : go for a tea.
Water : ❌the taste is not good enough. They need a better filtration system. Without good water your coffee cannot fly very high. Having good water is the base of life.
Brownie : ❌❌clearly not a brownie. It is a chocolate cake don't be mistaken. Okay/kinda dry cake.
Toilet : ❌❌ harmful chemical soup of 3 devices to spreading perfumes; the hose is dysfunctional and pressure unconstant; you can harm yourself; cheapest soap... very unpleasant experience.
Good points : ✅ a lot of spaces and it is also laptop + plugs friendly.
Warning : ⚠️ the stairs look very unsafe. It feels unsafe.
To improve : better cups; better water. Annoying rotary noise in the AC head of the second floor terrasse. Noisy 2d floor door. Toilet issues
Final impression : a place over-rated that is more managed like a big corporative chain, having the same issues as most places. It will fit people with not so much interest in coffee or not into details. BB is photogenic but doesn't have the essence of a good coffee shop you want to come back in. It feels impersonal and generic. Only good for teas maybe and work a bit. For that I know way...
Read moreIt was one of my favorite cafes in town but recently they applied a strange rule of “no talking”. A waitress was coming to our table and telling that we talk to loud even though we were talking normaly and guests in the cafe were not complaining. In this cafe it is allowed only to whisper or enjoy the time in silence... My friend's baby was making '' baby talking noises'' ( no crying) and the same waitress asked us to leave the cafe without being able to finish our drinks which were just ordered. If your cafe applies' ' no talking or no kids policy' ', write this information clearly on the...
Read moreWow! What a beautiful coffee house and an Oasis in Hanoi! Amazing espresso! (We had three each morning!) And a beautiful twist to Hanoi's speciality Eggpresso as an afternoon treat! The staff service and friendliness made this place like a regular we have been going to for years. We were welcomed each time with free treats, like these speciality croissants, from staff each visit. The place is very new, modern, spacious, clean and peaceful/ambient...a place you'd just like to sit and...
