If you're craving for western food, this is your spot! My partner and I have been travelling for a while now, and we have made every effort to stick with local food, but today we were looking for something more familiar to home, and it definitely hit the spot! I got the Original Good Time and my partner got the Vietkieu Sensation. From the bun, to the non-chewy and well-cooked beef, tasty sauces and McDonald's like fries. It was all delicious! We also got extra sauces that were additional cost- Hoi An chili mayo and the honey mustard (16,000 VND/each). They come in small shallow dishes that you can dip in. Some other sauces were also available and accessible when you're dining, and it is free of charge: ketchup, truffle and some other ones I didn't catch the names of. We think the portion of the burger and fries is just the right amount that got us full, but not to the point of overeating.
We really enjoyed the ambiance of the place- a mix of diner and modern disco bar type feel. We went before the dinner hours, so it was just the two of us.
We are knocking one star off as we thought the prices are a bit high...
Read more10/10 experience! Great vibes and music, bomb burgers, and delicious drinks. We stumbled on this joint before a night of drinking in Hanoi & was pleasantly surprised by how good of a pre-game spot it was. We ordered the Viet Kieu Burger (4/5), x3 pleasure burger (5/5), and rockstar fries (5/5). Coming from California where we have a bunch of burger joints, we weren’t expecting much but wow, we were blown away. The sauce compliments the smash burgers really well, and the buns were well buttered. I like my fries on the well done side so they were perfect. We enjoyed with two beers and decided to try to cocktails (the sour and then the freestyle cocktail option). The manager really chef’d it up cuz we’re used to paying $20 for mid cocktails in the US, but these tasted great and were a reasonable price.
I’d def recommend this spot to anyone - the food is amazing and keeps you full ahead of a night of drinking and having fun. Nice throwbacks too & lively ambiance without being too crowded. Mix of locals and foreigners :) thanks for a...
Read moreIt's a very solid burger joint. It's a surprisingly chill bar/lounge where the young and beautiful share burgers (they're cut in half for this purpose) and chat the night away as the DJ spins tasteful beats. Some nights apparently it becomes a full-fledged disco. There's art and decor that's bizarre in the best ways, like the main door which is, I don't know, like... a glass encased bank vault door with internal shelves that hold a bunch of cups full of bath beads??? Yeah. And all contained in a cool old Truc Bach house on a small residential street.
I tried the "anchay" burger, their vegetarian option, and it was legit. Well seasoned bean-based patty with some fresh veg elements, cashew cheese, and a toasty bun. One of those veg burgers where its meatless identity is transcended by just being good. I'm not a vegetarian and look forward to trying the beef burger options next time. If they can nail a veg burger, no doubt the beef burger will be a winner. Looking forward to...
