Pizza Bella: A Truc Bach Island Hotspot Serving Up Seriously Good Pizza (and More!)
Living in Hanoi, the quest for truly satisfying pizza can often feel like a culinary wild goose chase. While the city offers a plethora of dining options, the pizza landscape is frequently dominated by predictable chains that lack that authentic touch. That's why discovering Pizza Bella, conveniently located on the ever-evolving Truc Bach Island, has been such a game-changer.
Pizza Bella isn't some undiscovered secret; in fact, come the weekend, the crowds spill enthusiastically onto the street, filling their plentiful outdoor seating. And for good reason: this isn't your average Hanoi pizza joint. They prioritize fresh, high-quality ingredients and a genuine passion for crafting delicious pies, offering a welcome and vibrant alternative to the usual suspects.
While Pizza Bella boasts a menu that includes surprisingly good pasta (better than many dedicated pizza places, I might add), their pizza is undeniably the star of the show. They offer a variety of tempting options, but my personal favorite has to be the Honey Cheese. Now, I know it might sound a little unconventional, but trust me on this one. It's an inventive and genuinely fun combination that somehow just works, hitting that perfect balance of savory and sweet without venturing into bizarre territory. The quality of their standard pizzas is also evident in every bite, with perfectly cooked crusts and generous, flavorful toppings.
What truly elevates the Pizza Bella experience is the atmosphere and the people. Forget the sterile environment of a corporate chain. The staff here feel more like a group of cool friends you've come to hang out with. Their friendly and relaxed demeanor adds a genuine warmth to the entire experience, making you feel like a regular from your very first visit.
Beyond the fantastic pizza and welcoming vibe, Pizza Bella benefits from its prime location on Truc Bach Island. The area is rapidly becoming a dining destination, and Pizza Bella is right in the thick of it. Adding to the appeal is the cool coffee shop directly across the street, perfect for a pre-pizza caffeine fix, and the newly opened beer bar right next door. The best part? You can order from all three, creating your own mini food and drink crawl and making for a fantastic evening out.
Pizza Bella isn't just a place to grab a quick bite; it's a lively hub that embodies the exciting energy of Truc Bach Island's dining scene. If you're craving authentic, fresh pizza made with care, served by a fantastic team in a buzzing atmosphere, then Pizza Bella is an absolute must-visit. It's a testament to the fact that even in a city not traditionally known for pizza, exceptional quality and a great vibe can create a truly special...
Read moreFirst time here. These guys are serious about making a good pizza. How they go about creating a pizza definitely has an artisan quality to it. While sitting a few metres away from the pizza bench it's clear that there is an earnestness about how they make their product. Watching them work It's clear that they are committed to "creating" rather than simply making a pizza. That level of commitment is reinforced when the pizza comes out of the oven. In seeing the care taken to dress the cooked pie with the final ingredients, I couldn't help but feel respect for how they went about their work. The taste didn't disappoint. In fact my only disappointment was seeing how few tables are in (and outside) this place. After seeing and tasting what they're doing here I know getting a seat here in the future is going to be a problem. And this kind pizza is best enjoyed straight out of the oven and not via delivery. They do serve other items here, salad (which was fine) and a couple of pastas. But I suspect these other dishes are offered only to satisfy the expectations of the local customer market. Definitely one of the best Neapolitan style pizzas I've had in a very long time. A better crust than Belga. The test will come when we return (soon) to have another pie. Expectations are very high. Back again. Pizza still very good. This place has, unsurprisingly, become very popular. True Al Fresco dining with tables along the street. Weather permitting one...
Read moreGreat f.o.h staffs. (surprising) Good eat. Bad cashier.
I ordered a pizza and two pastas. All are awesome. The pasta is cooked just right (timing and boiling temperature). Fit my taste!
Waiting staffs are great. Especially the dude with One Piece straw hat, he is paying attention, not only to the tables but also caring to the neighborhood or any walk-by non-customer. He is a good human being. If there is an Employee of the Month, he deserves the reward.
All waiting staffs are above average compared to other f&b in hanoi. (thanks to the owner and supervisor).
I have a little bit bad experience with the cashier clerk whom asked me to go get my “table number” - which I had no idea of its existence (maybe cuz no staff have properly handed it to me). I believed she couldve done something else to help my checkout process smoother, like ask waiting staffs over the talkie talkie, instead of “ordered” me to go get my own “table number”. She doesnt pose a happy face like any other...
