So funny backstory... Went to the hairdresser's not too long ago, and the wait was going to be long, say about 2-3 hours in the salon. So the owner kindly asked me if I would like to enjoy a cocktail from down the street, pretty cheap, good quality etc. while I waited. Of course, the right answer is - why not? I got shown the menu on his phone, picked one and right after he was off, and back a few minutes later with the drink. Man did I enjoy it. The thing is, I had no idea which bar he'd gone to. So I set out to find the place based on the menu (good thing the near island is small, else that might have been a venture with no end in sight), and turns out it really wasn't that hard! Wandering through the streets there's suddenly noise of loud conversation, music, Leage of Legends being streamed...

A really cool find. Quaint cocktail bar with a beautifully hand drawn and written menu, clearly fans of the Beatles looking at the wall art (they also have Lucky Luke!), the interior is small but you have enough inside and outside seating, not an issue. Fans available although at this point in the year there's really no need, smoking indoors is allowed, cocktail prices are on the lower spectrum, between 50 and 80K, and they also serve juices, teas, coffee etc. Staff speaks English fluently which is not surprising seeing as this is, in grand manjority, a bar frequented by Westerners. All in all, definitely recommend if you just want to chill without...
Read moreDisappointed with the current service at “Lang Thang.” I’ve been coming to Lang Thang since its very first years. Although I haven’t visited as often recently because it’s usually crowded, in the past—even when it was busy—the service was still good.
Today, I asked if there was a seat outside. One staff member was trying to find a way to arrange a table, but another behind the counter said there were no seats left. However, having been here many times, I knew that at the time I asked, it wasn’t as crowded as it usually is, so it couldn’t have been full. But since they said so, I left.
After driving around, I happened to pass by the Lang Thang’s entrance on my way to another place and saw the staff setting up a new table for other customers. I couldn’t help but wonder why I was treated differently.
After all these years of always recommending this place to my friends, I will no longer do so...
Read moreI am a neighbor as are my friends. Rainy outside and dropped in for a cocktail. I sat in a chair and the guy next to me asked the bartender in Viet if I could move as someone else will join..btw lots of room on the sofa. I was directed to a table, the only empty one.
As I had the first sip a couple came in and I was asked a second time to move. The only space left was in the rain. Horrible in that the couples forced me to a 3rd option in 15 minutes.
No way, insulting. My money is just as good. I was embarrassed...
