One of the best decisions we made in our five day stay in Hanoi!
Stumbled upon this restaurant when searching for dinner place and it really amazed us the moment we entered, from the unexpectedly delicious and creative dishes, to the friendly service and nice conversation with the owner.
Ordered the shrimp crackers as starter (very creative presentation of peanuts and prawns on top of shrimp cracker), then the spring rolls (beats the ones from every other places we tried), and for main course we got the fried fish noodles (omg every ingredient in this dish is just so properly done and put together) and the pork rice plate (pork is soooo tender and savory without being too salty). And for drink I got the oolong milk tea with green grass jelly, surprisingly good even for me as a Taiwanese who’s been drinking boba tea for my whole life. Even at the end the dessert ice cream didn’t disappoint us.
Overall just can’t believe we have such overwhelmingly good dining experience in Hanoi after lots of disappointing ones during our stay here. Really want to give this place a six...
Read moreMy recent visit to Maii was a visual delight, with an enchanting atmosphere and meticulously designed interior that beckoned patrons into a world of aesthetic bliss. The restaurant's theme, a creative twist on traditional Vietnamese cuisine, added an intriguing layer to the dining experience.

The staff abundance was apparent, but regrettably, the energy seemed misdirected. Instead of attentive service, a cadre of employees appeared to engage in idle gossip, diminishing the otherwise sophisticated ambiance.
For a venue aspiring to a elite status, attention to the culinary craft and the professionalism of the staff should be paramount. This were an experience where visual feast for the eyes met with culinary and service...

Very disappointed with our experience at Maii Bistro. We found a hair in one of our dishes after we had almost finished it ,a serious hygiene issue.
When we informed the staff, they initially only offered 20% off and a dessert to share, which is completely unacceptable.
After insisting, they refunded the dish, but their attitude was extremely unpleasant, making the whole situation worse.
On top of that, the service was unprofessional. One of the female staff was playing on her phone while we tried to order food. We had to ask her twice, and she still didn’t notice until the bartender behind her told her TWICE to pay attention.
Hygiene and customer service should be a priority for any restaurant, and Maii Bistro failed on both. I would not recommend...
