This server took our order and double-checked it, but after waiting for half an hour, our food was nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, customers who arrived long after us were already eating, so we asked the same server if our order was in the kitchen. He said, "I'll come downstairs and check." Since we talked to him in Vietnamese, there was no way he misunderstood. He never returned with an update. Instead, he kept serving other customers, passing by our table multiple times, fully aware that we were still waiting. I asked him for the last time whether our food was being prepared. He briefly checked our order yet again for some reason and said, "Yes." Right after that, another server came and checked our order for the third time and informed us that our order had never even reached the kitchen — no one had started cooking it. The server who initially took our order simply left without saying a word. It seemed like he had forgotten about it, then chose to lie. If we hadn't asked him directly, we would've probably spent an hour waiting for our food in vain. Given that the place is fairly pricey, the fact that he made no effort to fix the situation or apologize (no one did, for that matter) makes it worse. Another point is that we were the only new customers in the room. There was one other man who had already been served, and no one else was present at the time, making it incredibly hard to mess...
Read moreI came here twice, once to celebrate my birthday and once with friends. First, in terms of food, although I have only experienced two sweet dishes, French toast and pancake, compared to my initial thought that European food may not suit Asian tastes, the food is extremely flavorful, fresh and delicious. The drinks are also very filling compared to the price. 1 vote for the chef team here. Second, about the space, from the outside it looks small but when inside it is very spacious and comfortable for large groups of people. And finally, regarding the service attitude of the staff, the staff welcome guests very enthusiastically and attentively. When I first arrived, I didn't know what to eat and was introduced to many dishes that might suit my taste, including the above two dishes, which have become my favourites and I will try again. Besides, the service staff is very professional and dedicated, proving that the management here is quite good, compared to many restaurants I have been to. Specifically, I was quite impressed with a male staff, who seemed to be in charge of general duties and management here, very enthusiastic in communicating and helping customers as well as other staff! In general, the restaurant is quite ok, but on weekdays I find it a bit empty. Hopefully, people will know more about the restaurant, and I will come here to try more dishes like...
Read moreWe returned here for a second time as we had been just after tet before and they were running low on a lot of food and we didn't feel the first time reflected the restaurant very well. There were four of us for brunch on a Sunday morning, and we could see that they had updated their menu since our last visit. The two men ordered salmon eggs benedict and a sandwich and us ladies both ordered the Dutch cinnamon waffles but hence there was only 1 portion available. So not the best start, one of us changed the order to a sweet waffle instead. The service was the same as last time and very slow, drinks arrived one at a time and spread out, to the point where some ordered a second drink waiting for the food. The eggs benedict looked amazing when it arrived and apparently tasted as good as it looked, lots of food envy! The cubano sandwich was large but also quite greasy with the melted cheese and a but hard going to eat for that reason. My portion of dutch waffles arrived and it was huge, there was so much cream and cinnamon apples on top of the waffle, to be honest it was so unnecessarily large that it could have been divided between the 2 of us who wanted it. The worst part was the other sweet waffles ordered as a replacement was pathetic in comparison, it had a small dollop of cream in the middle and looked rubbish compared to the Dutch portion and the prices...
