If you are Filipino it's definitely a warm feeling eating the food we grew up with. My personal favorite was the monggo and pinoy style pork barbecue. After staying in Vietnam for a few months it was a pleasant palate refresher.
The dinuguan will be a hit or miss since it would depend what region you're from. I prefer the tinumis version of Central Luzon but their version has more sauce which was alright since I grew up in the North.
The sisig will probably be the one up for debate if your Filipino. For us, personally, it was our least favorite. It lacks the tangy, peppery and smoky taste from the traditional sisig. They might have tailored it to better fit a wider audience.
The service is the usual warm and friendly Filipino signature. They have a mix of Bisaya and Tagalog speakers if you miss speaking in our native tounge.
Will we come back again, most definitely if given the chance to travel in Hanoi again.
If you are a Filipino tourist please do visit as well and support our countrymen taking a chance abroad and sharing our culinary experience with other nations.
If you are a foreigner, staff can speak English and Vietnamese. You might want to experience the party culture of the Philippines of drinking and singing all night. This would be a good place to...

Couldn’t give 5 stars to service since we were having a hard time/hesitant to call the crew since they were also using the karaoke.
Then the food, it was NOT okay. Didn’t meet the standards of sisig in the Philippines, I expected something since we ordered the Mikey’s special, but it was mehhh. Then the pork sinigang was REALLY DISAPPOINTING! The soup is fine, but the meat is FULL OF PORK FAT and was not soft enough to chew, even had a hard time cutting it.
I didn’t take pics of our food since I initially didn’t plan to write a negative review about this Filipino Restobar but the owner should know about this (in case he doesn’t know yet). The clean up crew could testify to this since I left all the pork fat on my plate so they could see… Or the owner can check the cctv footage for reference.
Take note, we’re staying in Old Quarters area and we drove to theirs to have dinner, and just got disappointed. Waste of time and money.
I’m sorry to write this review, but the restobar needs...
Read moreWent to Hanoi for a short holiday with wife. We were craving for Filipino food so went to this place as its highly rated and my lord it did not disappoint. Kuya (sorry I forgot to get your name) was very accommodating with our request. Even though it is not on their menu and just sold as goods, he cooked Purefoods TJ hotdog for us. Coming from Australia, we havent eaten this food from Philippines (products sold in Australia tastes different as its import quality). He suggested us to order Dinuguan and it was divine! We ordered a lot from their extensive menu for the two of us due to our cravings and it was heavenly! Pinoy home cook meal as its best. Thanks again guys for the experience and great feed. We will definitely...
