We found Pasteur Street Craft Beer – Cưa Bắc Taproom & Restaurant on our first night in Hanoi, and ended up coming back multiple times! The beer is fantastic, and the food is just as impressive. They have 16 beers on tap—10 of their signature brews and 6 rotating seasonal options—so there’s always something new to try.
On our first visit, I ordered a tasting flight of six beers and loved every single one. My favorites were the Pomelo IPA and the Passion Fruit Wheat Ale, and I could easily sip the Bia Chanh Muối (a low-alcohol salted lime beer) all day long. My husband, an IPA fan, really enjoyed the Session IPA, and we both loved the Double Jasmine IPA.
David was incredibly friendly and helpful, encouraging us to explore the different styles and offering great suggestions along the way. The food was awesome, too! The menu is extensive, ranging from burgers and wings (both excellent!) to creative salads and dishes featuring Vietnamese ingredients.
Even better—they sell their beer in affordable 1-liter growlers, so you can bring your favorites home. If you love craft beer and great food in a relaxed setting, this spot is a must-visit! If I could give Pasteur Street Craft Beer more than 5...

Took a slow jog to this place so that I'm guilt free putting back the calories.
Lovely joint with a decent selection of craft beer. Although I must say I dont recall it being very different from the ones I had in 2023. Regardless, the service staff introduced the beers fluently and made recommendations, and when presenting, arranged in order from lightest to heaviest in terms of flavour.
The Pasteur St Session IPA worked for me, as did the Cyclon Stout. The Saigon Saison was really unique, and seemed to carry the local flavour the best. I strongly recommend to gice the Saigon Saison a try.
I ordered a set of Lemon Pepper wings as well, and they were succulent! Without the lime, it would have been too salty for me. But with beer, it was a perfect complement.
I came at a time when almost no one was around, and received immediate attention and service. It is also winter season in the middle of December, so the environment is really great. Only thing was the heavy trafficr (and noise) from the street beside it.

This brewhouse offers a unique blend of Western and Vietnamese cuisine, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or a night out with friends. While I've been here before and enjoyed their Western dishes, I was pleasantly surprised by their Vietnamese offerings this time. The flavors were authentic and the portions were generous. However, let's be real, the real star of the show here is the beer. Their wide range of brews is impressive, but I personally found their seasonal, fruit-flavored ales to be the most enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive, and the open-air dining room provided a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. While the prices may be a bit higher than your average local eatery, it's definitely worth it for the quality of the food and beer. Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service:...
