I was really hoping to like this place, especially since the enticing aroma of fried rice always catches my attention when I drive by. However, the experience fell short due to lackluster service.
The restaurant itself has a decent seating area inside, but parking for scooters is a real challenge. With the heavy traffic on Xuân Diệu Street, maneuvering in and out can be a hassle. During the busy lunch rush, the high customer turnover seems to overwhelm the staff, leaving tables and seats uncleaned—meaning you’ll likely have to wipe them down yourself.
Ordering is straightforward; you just walk up to the owner and tell them what you want while they’re busy cooking. They seem like friendly people, so I think the issue stems more from the sheer volume of customers and a lack of sufficient staff. Adding at least one more person to help would make a big difference. The wait time for food was about 10 minutes, with everyone being served in order. Unfortunately, the staff mistakenly gave my order to another customer. I didn’t mind, but the other person was visibly annoyed. Additionally, I ordered a drink that never arrived, even after reminding both the staff and the owner.
As for the food, the fried rice was decent—not too bland but not particularly flavorful either, so I had to add some sauce for extra taste. Perhaps takeout would be a better experience, as I noticed several delivery drivers picking up orders. I haven’t tried their phở yet, so I can’t comment on that. Overall, I get the impression that the owner is kind, and I genuinely want to like this place. I just hope they can improve their customer service...

Regarding Pho, Spicy Pho Bay does have a better bowl of Pho, however when considering noodles, Pho Nho makes a better plate of fried noodles, hands down. Also in Pho Nho's favor is the seating, which is more comfortable and spacious than Spicy Pho Bay. If you're in Tay Ho and want some great fried noodles, I would suggest...
Read moreI went here for pho but then saw all the Vnese customers eating delicious-looking rice and noodle plates. I soon realized my error and resolved to return. I was quite delighted to find my hunch was correct. The owner is quite nice, helped me pick a popular option and helped me again when i almost left my bag behind. Many...
