Magnolia Cafe Hoi An — Restaurant in Hội An

A nice open-air coffee shop with wifi (about 5mb download) located along the canal. Coconut ice cream with coffee poured over and the mango coconut shake are both excellent and under $1.20 (25,000d). Free tea provided for each guest. It's open air and people do smoke here, but I just love the setting and the owner is very nice, too. We sometimes come to work on our laptops - occasionally there's another foreigner but mostly locals. Note that they close from 11:30am-1:30pm so it tends to get less crowded later in the morning.

As a westerner living in Hoi An, Moc Lan has become my local coffee shop. The atmosphere next to the river with the river breezes, sitting under the sheltered area, is very refreshing. Very reasonable prices, and very helpful staff. This is a cash only business.

TIPS:

1. If you see a fan not being used, feel free to take it to your table and use it.
2. Try the coconut coffees. They are not on the menu but are delicious.
3. The toilets are located in the building to the right, behind the main counter.

This place is beautiful, like really beautiful. Set in a quiet street, backing onto the river. It is tranquil, very well designed. it is a very big cafe with lots of different sitting areas, good quality furniture, and lovely plants and decorations. At night, it is tastefully lit up.
