Rustic House Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Hội An

After me and my friend planned on eating at a nearby restaurant, they turned us down, because there was not much going on that Thursday evening and their kitchen was closed.

With crushed hopes and empty stomachs we were wandering the streets and stumbled upon the Rustic House. After a quick glance onto their menu which is displayed at the front, seeing they had some vegetarian options for us, we decided to give it a shot, and OH BOY, we are lucky we made that decision!

We were welcomed and served by the hospitable cook and had a nice chat with her continuing the evening. We had the rice pancake (must try!) and stir fried noodles with vegetables. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced and they are super friendly and welcoming. We returned a few days later to try the cocktails during their buy-1-get-1-free Happy Hour and they were also very good!

Give the Rustic House a shot and you won't be disappointed. It's fairly new but I wish them great success with...

Walking into this place is definitely discovering a place you will return to during your stay in An Bang. Not a pushy restaurant, family managed, with required eloquence. Sets the right tone at 7pm in the evening, you can tell right away you are going to be fine here with your loved ones and family. Music, ambience, tone. I don’t see any shortcuts—every bite tells a story of really honest to good food, decency and politeness. We had a wonderful dining experience at this small, family-run and beautifully kept restaurant. We ordered grilled shrimps, morning glory, mahi-mahi, shrimp salad, white rose dumplings, and a Vietnamese pancake – and everything was absolutely delicious, full of authentic and rich flavors. What truly made the evening special was not only the traditional food but also the kindness and warmth of the family who both cooked and served us.
