Worst dining experience ever. After ordering on the tablet, the three starters(edamame, cashew nuts, mushrooms) covered with cling wrap were served and I saw them on the menu. The assistant manager came to serve so I asked her why they were served with cling wrap while trying the soggy cashew nuts after unwrapping myself. The manager said only edamame is free and others are not then took away the mushroom and nuts I was eating without asking me. They were prepared in advance given its sogginess. Each starter is priced at 60-70k and I anticipate better quality for that price range. Even the mushrooms for hotpot seem prepared beforehand. The cabbage I ordered did not arrive with others I ordered so I asked them to check. No answer. In general, they never responded verbally. Never felt welcomed at this restaurant though I liked the hotpot and interior. Extremely poor service and I don’t understand the point of tablet ordering system when they take away the tablet after the first order. My favorite part was the broth. The soup was very rich and had a strong mushroom flavor to it. It's quite different than most hot pot broths that I've tried.
There were a ton of unique mushroom options, and while it's super worth a try, I do kind of see why the popular mushrooms are the way they are. I would probably take king oyster or enoki mushroom on most days over the unique mushrooms, simply because they absorb the broth better and have less weird taste. However I do think that the unique mushrooms are worth a try if you've never tried them before.
The beef was also quite good, well marbled and thinly sliced. The other ingredients were all standard fare, complemented the mushroom broth quite well.
The staff were mostly helpful in helping us cook and serve the ingredients, however there were a few times when they forgot they put half of an ingredient in, then instead of taking it out they put in the other half instead, so that was...
