Dolphy Café 113 Dương Văn An Coffee — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

This was the first time I’ve been to Dolphy An Phu and I swear that I will never be back again. I’m very familiar with the self-service thing and always happy to bring my ordered drinks to my table.

Today I’ve been ordered 3 drinks at the same time and asked if they could bring the drinks to the table for us because I was going with my 18 month old toddler and there was no seat downstair so we had to move to the 2nd storey to seat.

For your information, the stairs there are the iron external stairs with space divided each step and not so easy to walk on while holding a tray with quite a few drinks. They refused to help us, I was ok, I thought I would try my best to bring the tray with my 3 drinks upstairs although the stairs looked a bit challenged. Unfortunately, I was failed to do that as when I almost reached my very last steps there were 2 drinks suddenly felt at the same time :(((

I wish the staffs there could be more helpful and flexible, self-service is good I know, but when the customer really needs help especially when they are not used to hold trays with many drinks while walking on an challenged external metal stairs. ( pleas see photos).

Hôm nay mình đến quán uồn và order 3 món nước, vì hết chỗ ngồi dưới trệt nên mình lên lầu ngồi, vì mình còn đi với 1 em bé 18 tháng nên mình hỏi các bạn nhân viên có thể mang đồ uống đến bàn không thì các bạn trả lời không. Mình vẫn rất vui lòng tự đem đồ uống dù hơi lo vì cái cầu thang là dạng cầu thang sắt có các khe hở, vừa bưng 1 khay đựng 3 món nước vừa bước lên có vẻ hơi khó, nhưng đành thử vậy. Tuy vậy, khi mình bước gần lên đến những bậc cuối thì 2 ly nước đổ ra cùng 1 lúc, nước đổ tung toé.

Self-service là chuyện bình thường, nhưng mình mong quán có thể linh động và thân thiện hơn khi thấy khách có vẻ gặp khó khăn khi tự bưng nước, đặc biệt là khi leo cầu thang mà cái cầu thang của quán không phải là dạng bình thường mà khá khó để vừa đi vừa bưng nước. ( xem hình )

Really cute A-shaped cabin cafe with lots of seating and good drinks. The service here was lovely with a friendly young staff who did their best to speak English with me - thank you for that! I had an iced coffee on my first visit: delicious! My second visit I tried their matcha latte which was very earthy with a strong matcha flavour, though it wasn't that sweet which is my preference, I know many people who prefer it unsweetened so this would be a great place to try. Nice location as it's very quiet and a bit more local...

We were there around 7am, and We had to wait for over 30 mins just for 3 drinks (1 banana smoothie, 1 black coffee and 1 condensed milk coffee). The shop wasn't crowded, maybe 2 other people at that time. I don't know why our drinks took so long while they had 3 baristas/waiters. The employees seem nice. The cafe shop has a lot of greens, big trees, koi fish tank. Maybe because Saigon has been raining a lot lately. This place is a little too damp for me. It's just my...
