Unfortunately had quite a poor experience. The Vietnamese staff was wonderful (except for one woman dressed in a tiger beer outfit - seemed like she was trying to give an intimidation stare, so I stared back. Then she walked past our table and continued to glare. So I returned the favor - not sure what she thought she was accomplishing?) but there was a mishap with the orders being placed. When we inquired about the arrival of one of our food items the male chef came out quite aggressively and spoke to our table of all women in a manner that is unacceptable and as if the missing order was somehow our fault. Yet, instead of trying to figure out what was happening, he raised his voice at us and essentially told us we were wrong. Regardless of us being a table of women, his demeanor and the way he spoke to paying customers was rude, disrespectful, and unacceptable. When he realized we were not actually in the wrong he didn’t apologize in any capacity. We’ve been loyal patrons of this establishment and this encounter with the chef has ensured that we will never be back to patronize this...
Read moreThe Indian food is indeed really tasty here. The place just smells like old cigarettes however. The service was efficient and nice.
Edit: Came back a second time and the middle age Viet female waitress whose English name could be 'Jessica'? was super rude. The first thing she did was gave me an up and down scan then proceeded to ask about my order with very aggressive body language and tone in Vietnamese. The whole time she gave me dirty looks like she doesn't want to serve me, an asian female customer. She then turns around and smiled and bowed down to the other old white men customers.
I asked what her problem was and she said I look south east Asian and kept pressuring me to tell her where I'm from. Lol that's none of her business? I'm your paying customer and deserve to be treated equally. This kinda behavior is disgusting to favour only white customers.
Quite frankly the place smells like an ashtray and the vibe's awful. Will...
Read moreI went once nearly a decade ago but then because I had been living in nha be I haven't been back since until just this last weekend & I'm very happy to return! It's a great place full of a mixed crowed of various internationals and locals. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and extremely patient and hard working; I came with a large group of western guys, all of us had been drinking already and tbh some of us were not easy to deal with-a long night with lots of ordering confusion, splitting bills, reopening tabs & generally being a pain for the staff and as someone who works in F&B I could feel their pain, but through it all they were nothing but polite, honest, helpful and over all great. I couldn't imagine a better night. Thank you guys!
There are multiple pool tables & shuffleboard, supplementary bar for busy nights, the beer is cheap and the whiskey is poured with a heavy hand. For sure...
