Hoi A Sense is an excellent fine-dining spot located on the 6th-floor rooftop of Opus Saigon in District 1, offering easy access and a peaceful escape from the bustling city. The ambiance is intimate and quiet, with spacious seating and a touch of luxury. The live performance by Vietnamese traditional musicians added to the cultural charm.
I tried the Miến Xào Cua Nồi Đất (Wok Fried Vermicelli with Crab Meat in Clay Pot), priced at VND339,000, and it was delicious—full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was decent, though not exceptional for a fine dining venue. I appreciated that Apple Pay and credit cards are accepted, making payment convenient.
Overall, it wasn’t crowded, which made for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience well-suited for pleasant conversation. It’s also a great venue for groups, whether for special occasions or a...
Read moreCame to the restaurant for the first time with a group of friends for a trivia event. On site we found out that the restaurant was only offering a small menu designed for the event and the regular menu was not available. Majority of our friends are vegetarian and there were no options aside from an overpriced mushroom fried rice and a very small portion, not even quality or authentic with corn in it (200,000 or 300,000VND). We watched some people order outside food through Grab to be able to eat as the event lasted 5 hours. Drinks were another disappointment. The only water option available was a small bottle for 70,000VND. Hosting a large event and catering for big groups, a restaurant that presents itself at such a high standard should at least be able to provide large bottles of water as...
Read moreOverall disappointed. The food was good but a slow inconsistent service that ruined the whole experience. Our table was a group of 5 including 2 children. The dishes sent out were slow and even took a while between each dish. It turned out I finished the 3 dishes I ordered before the children had even received their plate of stir-fried noodles. I complained about this saying most of the table have not had their main courses yet. They said the kitchen was busy but it was a Wednesday and the restaurant appeared to have several tables vacant. It did leave us feeling disappointed as it was meant to be a birthday celebration. For 4.7m VND (£145) it was not worth it and would not recommend it after...
