Skip this taproom if you want a nicely cold beer.

They didn't treat me well when i was there, it was not only mistake from staff, if was also from manager.

I ordered a small glass of their IPA, the staff who put my order into the computer did it right, but the staff on the bar they pour me a medium size glass, then the 1st staff realized right away and told the staff inside the bar to change from medium size to small size.

Here came the problem, they pour the beer from medium glass to small glass, both glass at beginning were not in cold temperature. It made the beer warmer, also reduce the bubble foam inside the beer taste (which i love the most).

They gave me the beer, i drank, i told them the beer was not good because it was pour 2 times. I'm local, i spoke the same language with the staff. They knew that they were wrong but they kept silent and didn't respond my speak.

Then, manager came, he listened to the problem, and he said the beer is not cold because that was the 1st drop of their working day, and he laughed, and he still didn't change my beer. He let me kept drinking the glass of warm beer.

And, they still charged me money for that glass!!!!

(Update after manager’s responding: 1/ “because of the 1st pour of the day” as you mentioned, so the beer was not at nice condition as it supposed to be, as YOUR SERVICE wanted to be, and as my standard wanted to be. So, you should change new glass, and don’t let your customer drink something not match with normal standard.

2/ both glasses were not at cold temperature while your staff pour the beer, if you think that you use cold water spray a bit inside the glass to make it chill, let’s check back with the water you use.

3/ the beer that i drank was not came straight from the tap. It came from another glass, which mean it was not nice, not as good as it was pour straight from the tap. Now i realize that you are not a person that understand about drinking. It’s a pity.

4/ The Ale Trail program is bringing more customer to your business, because 6/10 other taprooms in the list is ways more popular than your taproom. I didnt know your taproom untill i tried to finish The Ale Trail program. So don’t think that your “free t-shirt” matter to me. The t-shirt is belong to the program, not belong to your taproom, and as a part of that program, you have to give people that t-shirt. And, okay! to make you happy, i will return your “free t-shirt”.

I had a great time at Steersman Brewery - Taproom & Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The craft beer was delicious and refreshing, with a variety of flavors and styles to choose from. I especially liked the Flying Bees hard soda, which had a natural honey taste and a nice fizz. The location was convenient and cozy, with a nice rooftop that offered a view of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the owner was a fellow Viet Kieu who shared his story and passion for brewing. When we arrived, we asked to sample some of the five or so home brews they have as we were not sure of the flavors. However, they do not provide samples???? This is not the way brew pubs operate for first-time, and now, last-time customers. Next, when they did bring the beer out, we asked for less foam (before they poured), and our glasses came without the foam but also about 2/3 of the glass filled. What? We asked for a complete glass, and they did not complete that request. Finally, we ordered two appetizers which took 30 minutes to prepare (we were the only ones in the restaurant), and the portion sizes were substandard. Needless to stay, we did not stay for dinner. There are much better places in HCMC as we have lived here now for a few years and thought we would try a new place. Very disappointing in...
