I recently visited L'Usine in Phu My Hung, District 7, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. This trendy café and concept store truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best spots in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ambiance: The moment you step into L'Usine, you are greeted by a chic and modern interior that blends industrial elements with cozy, inviting touches. The spacious layout and tasteful decor create a perfect setting for both work and relaxation. Whether you're there for a casual coffee, a business meeting, or just to unwind, the ambiance is spot on.
Food and Drinks: L'Usine offers an impressive menu with a wide variety of options. I tried their brunch and was blown away by the quality and presentation. The avocado toast was deliciously fresh, and their eggs benedict was perfectly cooked. Their coffee is also top-notch, made from high-quality beans and expertly brewed. For those with a sweet tooth, the pastries are a must-try, especially the croissants and macarons.
Service: The staff at L'Usine are attentive, friendly, and efficient. They go out of their way to ensure that you have a pleasant dining experience. My order was taken promptly, and the food arrived in a timely manner. The staff's attention to detail and customer service truly stand out.
Overall Experience: L'Usine in Phu My Hung is a gem in District 7. It offers a perfect blend of great food, excellent coffee, stylish ambiance, and exceptional service. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, L'Usine is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it and will certainly be...
Read moreExceptional comedy. When to the counter, impressed by food & drink on display. Ordered and got the drink with no problems so far. Here's what went wrong: Went back to the counter, to order another drink and snack. Was asked if I wanted a Take-away? Answered that I just wanted to get another cappuccino and wanted to look at the food on display. Was told that I could not visit the counter as it was just take-away. Replied that I wanted something from the display counter. Was told again that I could not visit that counter, and that someone would be directed to my table. Waited 5 or 6 minutes for someone to come to my timetable. Waitress came and asked if I wanted to pay the bill. I replied that I had already paid the previous food and wanted to see the food on display. Was asked if I wanted to see the menu. I said that I wanted something at the display counter (as there were no pictures in the menu). Was asked what I wanted. Replied that I had been asked to leave the counter, but that I wanted to choose food from the counter. 3 other staff were requested by the waitress, and I pointed out AGAIN that I wanted to choose another drink and some food from the counter display, but that I had been asked to LEAVE the counter. Gave...

Prior to the pandemic, L’usine locations typically had excellent servers. However, service quality has greatly declined.
The restaurant is over-staffed with servers standing around staring at customers eating. I had to ask for water several times, only to be give a bottle of mineral water that I didn’t order. The staff seemed entirely unaware of all the empty water glasses in the dining room and simply stared into space instead of refilling patrons water glasses.
To make matters worse, they don’t actually understand how to bus, and left plates all over our table. When they finally removed a plate, they removed all of our utensils without replacing them.
I wouldn’t expect this level of service in a diner, let alone a French cafe. There are plenty of free online materials to learn the basics of table service. Seat people, give them water, replace silverware between courses, etc.
I might sound harsh, but I was in the industry for ten years and this isn’t rocket science. The front of house manager just needs to take responsibility and actually...
