There are about 30 'Oc' restaurants on this street, and it's famous amongst Saigonese residents who'd frequent here with friends for drinks and Oc. No real trip to Saigon is complete without a night drinking and resting Oc like the locals do. I've been to a couple of others on this street, and wanted to take my wife here for the local experience. Our friend and local tour guide recommended this place and we met him here. We ordered 7 dishes, including my favourites like the blood clams and creeper snails, plus octopus, grilled king prawns, scallops in spring onion oil, plus a couple of others. They were all booked so well, each dish was different from the others and the sauces were very much on point. It was very busy there, and the customers kept on coming. The service was good but a bit rushed, they do try and hurry you to order as soon as you sit down but I guess as it's busy I can kinda understand. We had 7 dishes, a big variety, we didn't order anything extravagant (we did want a mud crab but they had sold out), the most expensive was the grilled king prawns at 150k VND for 6 large prawns, totally worth it. We also had 7 Tiger beers between us. Total came up to 650k VND, really reasonable considering the quality of the food. We had a great time here, great food, great company and great atmosphere - what else could you...

I was very much aware of that and repeatedly said yes and OK and thank you. Then he failed to bring me a menu after I asked for and pointed at someone else holding one. I searched for and grabbed one myself, started browsing, and he came again and told me that they serve seafood. As if the huge "Oc" sign, the seafood street itself, and the menu filled with seafood wasn't telling enough.
At that point I became so annoyed that I left. The poorest experiences I had so...
Read moreWent here after seeing their reviews but was rather disappointed. The oc was definitely not fresh and flavours not that great. If you’ve had oc in Da Nang you will definitely know the difference. They brought out a dish which we didn’t order and tried to force it on us then told us that the correct dish is being made and will take a few minutes but we waited for a while before deciding that we’ll have it packed...
