Sakuraya Sushi — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

At first, I didn't recall this lovely place in my own district of home. I was here once, and the experience was blurred cuz that time I was in a rush But this time, I wasn't And man.... The food was great!

I had a Katsudon Set, which were adamame at first for appetizer, a glass of cold matcha, a Katsudon, some kimchi, some salad and a lovely bowl of Miso soup. All were extremely delicious!

You know, in Vietnam, they usually serve Katsudon with a very thin slide of pork, covered with thick crumbs. But at this restaurant, it was the other way. The pork was thick, tender and juicy, very lovely. Along with salad which had some beautiful homemade mayo sauce, and finished with a wonderful bowl of Miso soup, which was balanced and great!

I'll never forget this lunch. And yes, I'll never forget this lovely little place under the sakura tree.

I'll give this place all five stars because of Bao. He was my waiter. He's a very friendly kid eager and anxious to speak English and get me whatever I wanted. Excellent service from Bao. Actually the food here was just as good as well. I had the Chicken Teriyaki set and a couple pieces of maguro sushi. The chicken was crisp and delicious, and the maguro melted in my mouth. The little miso soup was quite tasty too. I lived in Japan 8 years out of my life, and this restaurant offers the same high quality food I got in Japan. I'm definitely coming back since I live...

Tụi mình vô tình tìm thấy quán trên GG Map nên ghé thử chứ không hề thấy ai review. Ấn tượng ban đầu là nhân viên rất nhiệt tình luôn và cũng rất tinh tế, thấy tụi mình đi nắng là suggest hỏi tụi mình có muốn chọn nước trước không để chuẩn bị nước lên trước. Bên cạnh đó quán đóng cửa 2-5pm nhưng mà tụi mình không biết, 1g30 hơn tụi mình tới và ngồi lố giờ tới 2g40 mới ra, mà quán vẫn chuẩn bị rất chu đáo. Sau đó thì tụi mình ấn tượng đến chất lượng món ăn. Mặc dù quán lowkey nhỏ nhỏ không quảng cáo nhưng chất lượng món ăn rất tốt luôn, và khẩu phần cũng có vẻ nhiều hơn một tẹo so với những chỗ mình hay đi. Cá hồi ngon nhưng không quá xuất sắc, đổi lại cá cam rất đỉnh. Wasabi cũng rất tươi. Mì udon cũng rất vừa miệng và cọng mì dai, tươi, không bị bở. Maki cũng rất ngon, bơ tươi, và đặc biệt là trứng hấp trứng cá hồi siêu nhiều trứng, nước dùng ngọt, không có tôm nên rất an toàn cho đứa dị ứng tôm như mình :)) Trà xanh đá thì được refill miễn phí, ah và có phần đậu nành luộc free lúc tụi mình mới tới nữa. Nói tóm lại là ấn tượng hôm nay rất tốt và nhà mình chắc chắn...
