Sandwich - Hamburger Chía Núi - Nguyễn Trãi - Trần Xuân Hòa Q5 — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I believe this is take-out/delivery only. Seems to be popular and/or slow. There were probably 6 or 7 people/delivery guys waiting when I arrived.

I was initially frustrated trying to order as it seemed my usual hand gesturing to get information didn't seem to register with her (she didn't speak any english other than a couple of words). In her defense, as soon as I asked the first question in English she called out to the guy and he looked in our direction only to look back at what he was doing, completely ignoring her/us - as a restaurant they clearly do not have good teamwork, just individually will do their role.

Eventually, I did order. As I waited, the guy that ignored us brought me a stool to sit on - which was nice. Two girls ordered while I was waiting, and they had to stand, so I'm confused as to why they don't have benches or a place to sit. The girl that took my order gave me a bottle of milk tea for free - also very nice. Although I believe that's for spending enough money (I saw a post indicating such).

I walked a bit to get here (across town) and walked back, so that maybe affected the pics and the food... but probably not by much.

Size wise, the double burger (76K/$3) and double shrimp patty sandwhich (76K) were good, but the taste was kind of average. The shrimp tasted a little better than the beef, IMO.

I had thought the fish sandwich (30K/$1.20) was going to be a fish patty (e.g., McDonald's filet-o-fish), but it turned out to be a convenience store deli sandwich-type tuna sandwhich. Unfortunately, the convenience store sandwhiches in Vietnam aren't as good as ones in Korea or the US (IMO). I wouldn't have gotten one had I known that is what it was going to be - which was one thing I was trying to ask by pointing to the word "fish sandwich" on the menu and then trying to ask which picture was the fish sandwich by circling the group of unlabled pictures...

I poined to the picture of the chicken & French fries, but it turns out asking for the chicken (48K/$1.90) means you're not ordering what the picture is they show on the menu. When I got back, I did notice it does separate them in Vietnamese. Either way, the chicken meat is cheap, dry, and small (yet, it matches its cheap price). I've had worse chicken, but I wouldn't...

Nice fast food vehicle!

It was a late night that I wanted to have some quick dinner. Then, I saw a spot with a lit of people waiting. So I decided to give it a try.

The main dish is basically hamburger and sandwich. You can choose many toppings included pork, beef, shrimp. However, it’s not fresh and just taken from frozen package bag. Hence, it’s a big minus for me.

Food was ok, not really special and do not bring me the taste of truly western food. On the other hand, it is still acceptable to try a new version of “banh mi”.

Highly recommended to use the sandwich bun. It’s soft and easier to eat than the hamburger. Try their popcorn chicken shakes with cheese flavor powder, it’s delicious.

Price is acceptable, 80.000vnd for a 3-layers burger. Staff is friendly but the man serving me was a little bit confused with the menu (actually he’s new so did not remember the menu)....
