At first, we wanted to go to Sushi Koji, but there was no table. We got upset and decided to go to another restaurant. Restaurant Syunkato caught our attention, from the outside it looked very atmospheric, reminiscent of a Japanese garden. When you went inside, the master chef and staff were very cordial to say hello to us! We ordered ourselves out of 9 types of sashimi and each a different dish. We were complimented with tofu and toppings (a cold appetizer), it didn't end there in honor of the New Year, the chef served miso soup with mochi, chicken, shiitaki mushrooms and spinach. The whole meal was delicious. But the most amazing thing was to see the chef's hands, you could see that these hands had been through fire and water, all the joints swollen hands with swollen veins speaks volumes about how hard he worked and his cooking sticks are so sharp, erased over time. Not much English is spoken, but surely anybody can go by. Menu is essentially local produce, albeit of good quality.
