I spent three nights in May, 2025, at Nicecy. We're a Vietnamese/American family with much time lived and travelled in Vietnam. I want to note that the sign outside says both Nicecy and "Blue Diamond 8B". I can only assume it's come under new ownership recently and that they haven't fully integrated the name change. I've spent many a night in Saigon and can tell you that hotels change names frequently!
We had a room on the 9th floor facing the street. The view was spectacular. The room was modern and clean. A common shortcoming in many Vietnamese hotels is a clean and newish bathroom. The bathroom at Nicecy was very clean, up-to-date, and like the rooms, modern with both a tub and a separate shower unit. Dual pane glass keeps the street noise down. I know this may seem petty, but it's common for hotels to not have tissues in Saigon. If you didn't bring your own, plan on using TP Not a problem at Nicecy. They were included and this is a thoughtful touch.
The staff was extremely helpful and polite. It seems that there's been a lot of focus on customer service and if it stays this way, the Nicecy name might stick around for a while. One night my wife and I had bought a container of ice cream that we couldn't finish. As the room only had a small fridge, we had nowhere to store it. We asked the staff if they could freeze it for us and they gladly took it to a freezer on the 10th floor and told us just to let them know when we wanted it back. Breakfast is served there on the 10th floor and has a nice variety of foods, plus there was someone there to prepare you something fresh, like eggs or an omelette. The 10th floor is also home to a small pool and deck that overlooks the city. The view from the deck is just jaw dropping. There are towering skyscrapers, a view of a new suspension bridge nearby and a birdseye view of a Saigon neighborhood.
The hotel itself is centrally located and there are lots of nearby restaurants to try. Overall, Nicecy gets an A+. I really hope they can continue to deliver the experience that we had. As long as they just maintain the facilities (so often an unfortunate weakness of many Saigon hotels is a lack of maintenance) and that wonderful customer service, and they should do well. Definitely and highly...

A compact and clean hotel with friendly staff, solid air conditioning, a calm rooftop, and a surprisingly pleasant breakfast. For its size and price range, it offers good value and a comfortable stay in the heart of the city.

⸻
Breakfast: • While the breakfast is not huge in scale, the selection is thoughtful, and includes European options such as boiled eggs and light vegetables. • Food was fresh and well presented, creating a calm and enjoyable start to the day.
⸻
Rooftop Pool: • A small rooftop pool with evening seating is one of the hotel’s nicest touches. • At night, it provides a quiet, breezy spot to unwind above the city.
⸻
Staff & Service: • The morning staff were excellent: • Helpful, polite, and spoke good English • Able to clearly explain the invoice situation and provided a solution • The evening shift struggled with English, which made communication difficult at times. • However, the team was still courteous and tried to assist.
⸻
Invoice Notes: • As is common in many Vietnamese hotels, invoicing for companies is not always straightforward. • Despite prior requests, the evening shift was unclear on how to proceed. • Fortunately, the morning staff resolved everything efficiently and...
Read moreWe spent five wonderful days at this hotel and can’t thank the team enough for making our stay so memorable.
From the moment we checked in, we were looked after by a group of young, energetic and genuinely friendly staff – Sam, Max, Tam and Haonan. They all speak excellent English, helped us find the best places to exchange money, pointed out attractions worth visiting, and recommended local dishes we simply had to try. When it came time to continue our trip to Nha Trang, they patiently explained every option and help even arranged our transport.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the breakfasts are fantastic. Two lovely gerls run the morning service; they greet every guest with a smile and somehow manage to keep everything moving quickly and smoothly.
Our child was so happy here that there were tears when it was time to leave – a true sign of how special the experience was. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
A big thank‑you to the management for assembling such an outstanding team. We wish you continued success...
