Velo cafe — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Found this place after eating at nearby Veggie Saigon (which was tasty but overpriced). On a Friday night, my group of three (an American, an Indonesian, and a local) enjoyed hanging out without a bunch of drunk Westerners and terrible music!

We had black iced coffee (sugar on the bottom, FYI) for 16,000, milk coffee for 16,000, and a mango strawberry yogurt drink for 31,000.

I am not sure if they serve beer/alcohol. It was just so nice to be outside and enjoy the relatively cool spring evening. A couple people were vaping or smoking, but it was mostly families and young friends enjoying a nice evening!

My experience at Velo Cafe was horrible! Initially presented with a menu showcasing seemingly reasonable prices, the table was completely dirty, we ask to clean and he smile and ignored letting us in a disgusting place! I was taken aback when confronted with inflated prices at the moment of payment, completely rude attitude and being even aggressive. This bait-and-switch tactic is unacceptable! The young boy as no clue about what's necessary to be a waiter. After we were given a dirty table, we asked if it was possible to clean it and the boy just started to through all the trash on the floor instead of cleaning it. In the end we were over charged a "ceremony" fee of 10.000, and when we went to the counter asking to confirm the change, there was another menu more expensive. We pointed on the other one and the young boy just threw the menu on the floor. Completely rude and dishonest. Worst customer service...
