This Zan Tai Wei is a Taiwanese restaurant located in Ho Chi Minh City’s Chinatown area. I first discovered this place on the Grab platform and decided to order delivery out of curiosity. From the first bite, I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic the flavors were—just like real Taiwanese dishes, with that comforting taste of home. Their bubble milk tea was especially amazing and instantly took me back to Taiwan.
After that initial taste, I decided to visit the restaurant in person on a weekend to get the full experience. Although the space isn’t very large and very far from my house, but the menu is packed with a variety of dishes, offering a range that helps curb any homesickness for Taiwanese food. For someone like me, who misses the flavors of home, it was exciting to see so many traditional options.
I ended up ordering more than I expected, and soon realized that the portion sizes are generous—two dishes are more than enough to fill you up! The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and portion size, with main dishes ranging from VND 60,000 to 120,000.
So far, I’ve tried the beef noodle soup, braised pork rice, and fried rice, and I can confidently say they’re all delicious and authentic.
Overall, Zan Tai Wei is a must-visit for Taiwanese locals or anyone who loves Taiwanese food and wants a taste of authentic flavors in Ho...

I was hungry and ordered lots of food. I enjoyed a delicious Taiwanese style beef noodle soup, pork-shrimp dumplings, a chicken dish & the apple cider vinegar cold tea. The meat in the beef noodle soup was extremely tender and flavorful! Wow! I was smiling 😊 because the delicious food, experience & atmosphere was exceptional in every way.
The staff were very friendly & the cook even came by to check on me. I told her I was very satisfied with everything. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The restaurant is clean and bright. The service was spot on, friendly, and fast.
The price for the food I think it’s abit on the higher side, but it’s worth it.
The noodles beef was pretty good, the soup was tasty, and the beef was tender. The chicken popcorn was a bit under-seasoned just a tad, maybe abit more salt would be ok. The scallion pancake was delicious, crunchy and chewy at the same time. The squid stir fired was also tasty, and it’d be best to eat with a hot steamy bowl of white rice.
I’ve heard good things about the milk tea and the boba. Unfortunately I couldn’t tried the traditional boba, but got to tried the 3Q/white boba, I think it’s ok, nothing special about it. Yet, the milk tea is good, you can actually taste the tea.
This restaurant is a good place if you want to try out Taiwanese food. Good food, good...
