Afternoon Coffee - Beautiful Old Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Hue City

Overall bad experience: As soon as they serve our drinks they asked us to pay. We assumed that payment usually happens when you’re ordering or leaving the place. It felt like they just wanted to get money from us as soon as possible.

When we started having our drinks, a guy (calling himself as the owner of the cafe) approached us and started selling us his bike tour in the town and bike transportation to Hoi An. We don’t even know if this guy is actually the owner of this place since he could see him across the street trying to get tourists to his service. He was quite pushy and it was stressful. We just wanted to have a break in peace.

A historic coffee shop well-kept with its original period architecture and details, it's a nice place to stop by for a coffee after visiting the Palace.  The coffee itself is pretty standard, and the service is ok if not a little slow - but you feel like you're in a place where they take things slowly.  Prices are also on the higher side. If you sit upstairs, the balcony had stools facing the old Imperial buildings so you can enjoy the view.
